honest question, does the height matter if his reach is 34" arms?

isn't that all that matters for the DL in terms of how fast he can get his arms into the opponent?

being shorter might help leverage wise and the arm length of deforest buckner doesn't hurt
he actually reminds me of ahmad brooks

this might be the best pick outside of the 1st round that baalke made, the guy looks like a dominating force in college which is always a good sign for some success in nfl

Appalachian state is known to produce the best DL in the world.
TARTT is NOT a LB...

if we wanted a LB we shoulda gotten one.. he's got ball (safety) skills that is much needed in the secondary... his hitting ability can get to the WRs heads so I suggest for our defensive scheme not to get too cute and falter all year long..

STOP copying how the Cards used Buchanon last year because the have two CBs that are capable of covering both sides of the field. WE DONT!!
is appleachian one of the 50 states ?

Here's a blurb:

Though Blair shows flashes as a pass rusher from the interior, he's not as fortunate when asked to do so as an edge rusher. In fact, when asked to rush the passer from the outside, his pass rushing moves consist of: bull rush, bull rush and bull rush.

The Ray McDonald comparison that was made by someone is dead on. Interior pass rusher that can crush the run. Hopecully without the woman beating tendencies.
Phoenix...always good for a laugh. And yes, I laughed.

That's been my favorite comparison so far as well.
Kind of leaning towards the hope that he finds a spot on the defensive line. It would be really nice to have a skilled rotation of players to help combat the running games of Rawls, Gurley, and Johnson.

I'm thinking that's the plan he's a DE for SF...love the comparison of Ray Mac makes sense. We're gonna need a rotation and I'm guessing will be running a lot of 4 man fronts anyway.
LOSE 15 lbs AND HE COULD BE THE NEXT COMING OF DWIGHT FREENEY!!
