Blair doesn't seem quick or fast enough to play olb. . He's got a nice 1st step and a great motor but doesn't look like an OLB at all imo and lacks length to play DE in our scheme. What are the chances they ask him to beef up and play him at NT?

Minus the insane speed. And that insane spin move.

So nothing like Freeney at all

Kind of leaning towards the hope that he finds a spot on the defensive line. It would be really nice to have a skilled rotation of players to help combat the running games of Rawls, Gurley, and Johnson.

I'm thinking that's the plan he's a DE for SF...love the comparison of Ray Mac makes sense. We're gonna need a rotation and I'm guessing will be running a lot of 4 man fronts anyway.

Yeah during the draft I heard most defenses are in nickel or dime 60% of the game..id love for the 4 man front to consist Lynch-AA-Defo-Harold/Tank with Brooks/Blair/Dorsey as rotation..

Lose 30 lbs, get faster and more athletic and he's the next coming of Von Miller!!

6-2, 284, 34 inch arms.

Ray McDonald-6-3, 277, 34 inch arms.

I dont see length being an issue, he is shorter than what you may want but hes also only going to be a situational player

situational, this guy can move from the outside to the inside without any issues.

if he can show this in camp and preseason, he could be a DT starter in a 4-3

Buck-Blair-Dial-AA ?

all in high hopes of course
He'll beat out TJE!

Getting out of control
I like his burst off the line of scrimmage ...he's a tough dude , TJE has a fight on his hands

Strong hands.

Highlights from a 38-0 blowout vs backups.
I was watching a few videos of him last weekend and in one he said after the Combine he dropped like 10-15lbs and was closer to 270lbs. He said he wanted teams to see him as an OLB during workouts leading up to the draft. Because of his lack of height he was showing off his versatility. On a podcast, there was talk that some scouts even thought he could play ILB. That seems unlikely, especially with how Trent values speed at the position, But having him stand up and rush the passers is a real possibility.

Because we didn't draft an OLB I would've be surprised to see him get a look as an outside pass rusher. Trent/Chip seem to love tall, long DEs. Blair is build more like an OLB than a DE.
