Pretty much this. Those guys' main job is to take on double teams and keep our LBs clean. Blair is going to be used everywhere though, even at NT according to JoN so it should be interesting.

Will also get some snaps at OLB as well, haven't seen this much of a versatile defensive player since?... Crazy for a rookie, whose learning a new scheme as well. If he was a late first I'd still be pretty stoked. What a defensive Swiss Army knife.

what is your problem? not a single team can keep pro bowlers as backups. TJE is a solid backup and can play everything along the d-line.

Not sure this is the correct measuring metric to base this off of.

I'm not predicting a down year for AA and Defo, just that I think blair will have more tackles for loss and sacks. I do expect a production curve for defo, he is a rookie.

I've never been a fan of how the NFL defines pressure. I wouldn't count pressure unless it results in a negative play or incomplete pass for the offense. Pressure is pointless unless it creates results for the defense.

Interesting that they say he can play anywhere in the front 7. . .which means even ILB. So maybe in to blitz on a passing down next to Ray Ray or Tartt, giving Bow a breather?

AA, DeFoe, Lynch, Tank, Blair, Tartt, and 5 DBs in Nickel? That could bring some NASTY pressure.
