When you talk about the 4-3 defense, you talk about FOUR DL with 3 LBS lining up behind them..

It's called a 4-3 under. This is a common 4-3 front. Defo confirmed today that O'Neil's scheme is predominantly a one gap scheme.

uhmmm,

you may wanna learn this.. or maybe, write this on your board, anywhere on the wall about 100x..

when there are 3 DL listed on the field, with 4 LBs supporting them, it is called a 3-4 scheme!!

that "4-3 under" you're talkin about is just a freakin formation that they line up.. it's just like the old 46D of the Bears.. you see everyone lining up on scrimmage, but bottom line, they have the 4 DL and 3 LBs (Wilbur; Mike; Otis)..

Both of you, tell me what you think you know, then I'll tell you what you don't know! #

I'd rather stick with the 3-4 as dominant base... anyways whatever allows us to have the best players on the field.

Another sack in limited snaps. This guy is already better than AA and could develop into something.
I am really interested in seeing the year 1 to year 2 leap. What will he do in the offseason to get ahead?
This is going to be a great draft class that Trent got this last year. Too bad he probably won't be around to see the results but now we need somebody that will draft offense early

Top 10 picks are always helpful. But he's certainly nailed every one. Let's hope the next GM can do the same and even score on some offensive impact players.
How about,.. let chip pick the offensive players lol.

I think that was a big part of the point of bringing in an, "offensive minded HC."

May be a moot point now though.

You think he's gone? If the FO let's go of Chip cause of fans then I'll be disappointed but they won't do so for solely that reason.
Anyhoot I want Chip to get weapons for the offense.. a QB,WR,RB,TE like Bennett to make a 1-2 headed monster with McDonald. Then we'll see what happens.

My best guess goes in this order.
1. Baalke out, Gamble promoted and Kelly stays
2. The Shanahan's in and Baalke/Kelly out
3. Outside GM and he decides on Kelly
4. Nothing changes

I like the promote Baalke to a position that gets the "fans" to stfu and let him have input working with Gamble on defensive players..OL too. Chip/Gamble working on offensive players.

I think Kelly gets let go if it means us having a trash DC again. Other than that I think FO wants to comfort the fan base, apologize and say sorry for the season we've had. Show confidence and admit we were evaluating the young talent we had, were prepared with money we have to make necessary changes and though it wasn't our goal for top draft positioning... we got it.

Something like that.

I thought of that team approach as well. Hire a real President of Football Operations. Remove Paraag. He oversees Baalke, Gamble, Kelly. This first draft was pretty good together and has potential to be great. Baalke has a great track record of top 10 picks. Let the President decide everyone's fate but immediate changes would need to be made to Kelly's system and philosophy and obviously, a change in DC.

Yeah that could work... put the best product of the field and you say I expect significant progress in wins, and so do the fans. I will make sure everyone is accountable and everyone will be evaluated top to bottom to see whose part of the future(Mostly talking GM/HC then players).

Yes sir. Real accountability.
