How about,.. let chip pick the offensive players lol.

I think that was a big part of the point of bringing in an, "offensive minded HC."

May be a moot point now though.

You think he's gone? If the FO let's go of Chip cause of fans then I'll be disappointed but they won't do so for solely that reason.
Anyhoot I want Chip to get weapons for the offense.. a QB,WR,RB,TE like Bennett to make a 1-2 headed monster with McDonald. Then we'll see what happens.

My best guess goes in this order.
1. Baalke out, Gamble promoted and Kelly stays
2. The Shanahan's in and Baalke/Kelly out
3. Outside GM and he decides on Kelly
4. Nothing changes

I like the promote Baalke to a position that gets the "fans" to stfu and let him have input working with Gamble on defensive players..OL too. Chip/Gamble working on offensive players.

I think Kelly gets let go if it means us having a trash DC again. Other than that I think FO wants to comfort the fan base, apologize and say sorry for the season we've had. Show confidence and admit we were evaluating the young talent we had, were prepared with money we have to make necessary changes and though it wasn't our goal for top draft positioning... we got it.

Something like that.

I thought of that team approach as well. Hire a real President of Football Operations. Remove Paraag. He oversees Baalke, Gamble, Kelly. This first draft was pretty good together and has potential to be great. Baalke has a great track record of top 10 picks. Let the President decide everyone's fate but immediate changes would need to be made to Kelly's system and philosophy and obviously, a change in DC.

Yeah that could work... put the best product of the field and you say I expect significant progress in wins, and so do the fans. I will make sure everyone is accountable and everyone will be evaluated top to bottom to see whose part of the future(Mostly talking GM/HC then players).

Yes sir. Real accountability.

And fair accountability if we spend money in FA, try to get rid of maximum holes/depth players to team up with a strong draft.

I have thot for some time that the problem every body picked on was the wrong guy. It wasn't Trent, it was Paraag. I think the mess we have is way more paraag than anyone else. If we can only fire one guy, , please, make it be paraag.
Just spend money in FA!

Yea, we never overpay anyone cause according to paraag everyone in the nfl is overpaid. Brilliant!

Yeah, that could be too...the Yorks usually stay as comfortable as possible though.
do work son
From PFF:

OLB Ronald Blair, 78.1

OLB Aaron Lynch, 77.4

Rebuilt linebacking corps starting to gel

At this stage of the season, for a franchise in San Francisco's position, it is all about silver linings. Replacing Patrick Willis and NaVarro Bowman was never likely to be easy. It appears as if Gerald Hodges can nail down one of the two spots over the long-term. He's been impressive this season, carrying that form into the final game of the year. Against the Seahawks, he recorded three stops, managed a QB hit, and didn't give up a catch in coverage. Beside him, Michael Wilhoite's has had a poor campaign. On the bright side, he ended the 2016 season with his highest-graded game, also recording three stops and giving up only a couple of receptions underneath. In conjunction, pass-rushers Aaron Lynch and Ronald Blair turned up. The duo combined for seven pressures. Blair's two hits and two pressures suggest that the fifth-round pick has particular promise. The development of the 49ers' young defensive linemen will be key to the fortunes of the franchise.

Did he play on the edge yesterday? It sounds like it from this.
I thought he did best when he was on the line

Really, I think we are closer to a 4-3 than a 3-4 at this point. We are one DE away from a decent 4-3 front four with a little depth. Brooks can play OLB in a 4-3. If we continue a 3-4, we need a NT, another starting caliber DE who can 5 technique, and two outside OLBs with one of them being a top end pass rusher, along with 2 ILBs.

We need more in a 3-4 at this point than to fill out a 4-3.

Can Armstead and Buckner fit in a 4-3? Armstead as 3 tech?

Lynch, Blair, Tank and a rookie on the edges?

The answer is a clear NO.

Our last two #1 picks were 3-4 DE's. That's just reality.

Yeah, just natural...no point in forcing anything. Nothing wrong with Blair coming in on pass rush downs/rotating. He is more ideally suited to play in 4-3 doe. I'd be sweet to trade him for an OLB/NT/ILB(Though I like R2)/WR.
