If we continue a 3-4, we need a NT, another starting caliber DE who can 5 technique, and two outside OLBs with one of them being a top end pass rusher, along with 2 ILBs.

We need more in a 3-4 at this point than to fill out a 4-3.

+1, sad thing is we are assuming it will go well for Bowman too, he might be great player but these season ending injuries must be taking a toll.

OTAs start before the draft so we'll be able to have a heads up on if we seriously need to consider drafting someone who can start day one. My gut says no, because I also believe in R2 but so many different ways things can go. I also remember hearing Bow was seen walking with no limp or anything not too far after being placed on the IR. Either it was a partial tear or a cover up tank injury.
i think we can play 4-3 up front - eiother buck or amrstead as a DE with the other as 3-tech - we're a speed DE away.
bow can man the middle and i think Tartt and Ray-ray can play OLB (especially given we'd have a rather heavy front 4 to shielf them to allow them to play more downhill) - hodges can prob move to SAM on run downs to be better vs. the run

but that front will be infinately better on the ground vs what we have.

we can even kick buck and armstead inside on pass downs and either play a 1&3 tech or play them both straight up on the guar and let one hit A gap and hte other B gap - both have hte quickness and gives us a bit of unpredictability - especially if we blitz
No, neither Buckner or Armstead can play ends. They are 6'7" 300lbs and do not have the speed or the bend to play on the edge.

and putting one of them at 1t is a terrible idea. talk about putting your player at terrible leverage disadvantage.

We have drafted Buckner for 5tech.

Who should play at LB in a 4-3 according to your opinion? How would the d-ilne look like?
We are not switching to 4-3! Our last two #1 picks are 3-4 DEs! Bowman is not fast enough to cover the ground needed out of a 4-3 MLB!

Just. Not. Happening.

So now that we're switching to a 4-3 does anyone else think Blair is going to beast it?

I think he could really surprise people this year as he's tailor made for a 4-3 scheme.

Definitely. He can play SAM,DE&DT depending on the situation. He could be a nice lil joker.

Blair in a traditional 4-3 DE role, will be fun to watch. This guy is very underrated.

His versatility can really be maximized now and he can help give guys breathers all over the DL. I love this kid.
