I won't agree that i feel better about Blair than i do Arik, but at Leo, ok. I love blair and have since his first game, when he slashed and crashed around an OT, and i thot was looking at a mirror image of Dwight Freeney. That is who he reminds me of. But until he gets a lot more playing time, we won't know. Once he gets PT, i think his stock is going to rise. Now, is he good enough to play every down? Depends on what they want out of him. Guys like Pita, Blair, and a couple others....they should be in there to pass rush. Bring maximal heat on the qb. Use him like that, and we got ourselves a winner. He can stop the run, but his real forte is passrush, and that is where i hope he becomes a permanent anchor.

Not surprising at his listed weight of 270.

Nobody knows what his weight is currently at, but the 49ers.com player profiles are egregiously unreliable. Whoever is responsible for the player profiles doesn't do a very good job.
I'm rolling with the combine info.

I'm rolling more so closer to 270. I've been saying for a while this dude can easily look good and do his job at base RDE. He's not that big of a dude and even got snaps at OLB last year. Anyways, at TC we'll know what the deal is but the OTAs are about to get toasty and we should hear some good info.

Yeah, id be willing to bet he's in in the 270-275lbs area. He bulked up at the combine, then dropped most of it for his Pro Day. He also mentioned that he prefers being down at 275lbs because he's more athletic there.

Yup. Then perfect to slide in on pass downs as well. We should definitely fare a lot better in rotating this year and getting opposing offenses off the field or hopefully start a trend of forcing Fgs instead of TDs again.

He looks stout and ready for 2017.

Ronald has a unique build. He's very Robert Mathis-ish being only 6'2" but having very long arms(34"). That's what you call natural leverage.
Can't wait to see him out there next year.

How old is that pic? The sweat and what's most likely a belly full of fluids doesn't do him any good in this picture. a lot of guys(myself included) have a natural big core, especially if you're constantly working on it. Like if I don't flex my core, I have a six pack outline but looks like I got a lil gut if I just let my core loose after a deep breath and release. You can see it in his face he's added some lean mass and dropped a good dose of body fat, I bet he's rocking a 4 pack under that shirt.

I think he will be a tremendous, versatile backup for us and he could play 4 or 5 different positions along the front 7. I can see him being one of our top 2 or 2 sack leaders this year despite not being a starter. I can see him being very valuable and disruptive pass rusher at DT on pasing downs and I can even see him playing some elephant and LEO. I think he could he our Chris Clemons. Clemons wasn't a starter for Seattle but he was a valuable and versatile backup who even led them in sacks.
I think he's an interesting piece for LEO.

According to Cohn, this is photographic evidence that Blair is 20 lbs overweight.
