They play 2 different positions.
Rush needs to beat out guys like Lemonier. Top 4 are Lynch, Brooks, Harold and Tank. Rush isn't cracking that 4. PS at best again.
Brooks and lemon head out next year

If a linebacker comes on, I could see Lemonier headed out this year. Particularly if we see the same issues as we did in 2013- getting swallowed up/lack of strength/no pass rush moves.

Kid has a great motor! Good nose for the ball. Shall be interesting to see. He's going to make this team no doubt

Blair is a very good pick. 3rd round talent and rated that way by many. Really liking our DE group right now.
LE: Armstead/Blair/TJE
RE: Buckner/Dial
Getting Blair gives us the flexibility and insurance of having Dial able to play NT if Williams or Purcell are hurt or need a breather.

If this guy can put on another 20 lbs, he could be one hell of a NT with his strength....
I really really really have a good feeling on this kid! Great pic!

They needed a short DL so that the average height of the line did not look like a basketball team.

Sacking quarterbacks in November, dunking on fools in March.

This guy is the only pick I liked after the 1st round. The rest the draft is s**t imo.

He seems to be good but I don't think he will play unless there is an injury or if he moves to OLB. If he moves to OLB he would have to beat Eli Harold and Ahmad Brooks to play.

I think they ask him to slim down to 270 lbs and have him play OLB..hes short compared to players Baalke likes for the position but his motor and instinct remind me of James Harrison type of player..

Everything you read and hear says that he's a DE, but for a GM that said he wanted to beef up the pass rush, drafting another DE after Buckner doesn't make much sense. We scouted pass rushers heavily to stand up and play OLB for us and since we didn't draft one, I think that lends to Baalke believing Blair will get a chance at OLb. I actually prefer him there.
He's a couple inches shorter than Lynch and only about 5lbs heavier. He has the quickness, power, and run-stopping skills to play outside. I think he's going to be a solid pickup for us.
