That's a very good comparison as well.

Did Ray play inside at Florida?

Mostly LE in their 4-3 but slid inside on passing downs every now and then.

I think this will be the case.

A third down pass rush specialist?

No, he is very strong against the run. Just an all-around 3-4 DE prospect that should be able to rotate in and out, get a lot of snaps.

He's a rich-man's Reggie White.
I definitely see some James Harrison in him. I can see them using him at OLB with Brooks getting kicked to the inside.

Armstead - Dial/Williams - Buckner
Harold/Blair - Brooks - Bowman - Lynch/Carradine

Or

Armstead - Dial/Williams - Buckner
Brooks/Blair - Tartt - Bowman - Lynch/Carradine

I can see them deploy a lineup something along the lines as these....
I don't know...wouldn't say he reminds me of anybody.....BUT...he does remind me of someone who is going to be a long term starter here. Yeah, it was a small college, but the guy on film and measurables (if you are into that kind of thing)...sure looks like the guy you want on your D. At least mine, anyway. He just looks like a hard nosed ball player.

I'm also hoping they use him at OLB

He's not an edge rusher like Tank. He's an edge setter and can also slide inside and pass rush.

Here's a blurb:

Though Blair shows flashes as a pass rusher from the interior, he's not as fortunate when asked to do so as an edge rusher. In fact, when asked to rush the passer from the outside, his pass rushing moves consist of: bull rush, bull rush and bull rush.

This is the same comparison that keeps popping up in my mind, except Blair has longer arms. He seems strong, quicker than fast, physical and nasty like Harrison, but not as openly angry. I like that he was willing to cut down to 276 to show his versatility, but I don't think he shows a lot of versatility as an edge rusher. If his bull rush can make a difference every time, he'll be fine, but I really think he needs to diversify his technique and build in counter moves to make it at the edge. He might have to be an interior rusher for 2016.

Oh, okay, so you're just gonna read my mind, then type faster than I do?
