He was the #1 QB recruit coming out of high school, so the guy has got some skills.

That's 5 years ago. Today he's working to not be on the PS.

True, I think he ends up beating out Thad for the #3 spot, however.

Do we have room for 3qb's? Look at the numbers for CB, WR, OL

I look forward to his 30 for 30.

The Driskel 27, a look back at the other QB's selected before the immortal one, Jeff motherf**king Driskel.

I'd like his '30 for 30' to be titled: "I Hate Jeff Driskell."

Why should Christian Laettner have all the fun?

I don't know, how many did we keep last year? I think it'll be Gabs/Kap and then Driskel, possibly tucked away on the PS. Then, it'll be Gabs and Driskel battling it out next year, for the top spot.

Barley cost anything to try....and who cant root for an underdog.

At least they rolled the dice on a guy with an interesting skill set, that had top tier physical traits and did not target some random cusa guy that put up great numbers.
Me thinks and just a guess, that the new coach places a higher value on at least trying to develop QB's than his other predecessor's did... And thus will keep 3 Qb's on the 53 man roster....and that TD is hoping to still trade Kap to a team that takes a QB hit unexpectedly.
I like this pick a lot, Driskel is a perfect fit for this offense and have a big upside. I'm hoping he makes the team and he can master the offense and maybe just maybe fight for that starting job... I'm not saying he will be the next Brady but there's always that chance if you put a lot of dedication into your craft you might just make it.

The Tom Brady of the draft

I had the same thought.

I also had a few seconds where I was thinking it was cool that Driskel is from the same school as Jerry Rice - and then I realized Driskel played at Mississippi State not Mississippi Valley State.

Driskel played at LTech

Haha same school as Tim Rattay though.

This guy is awful can't hit a wr in stride to save his life.

That's why he threw for over 4000 yards in a college season

Tim Tebow passed for 4000 yards.

LOL pwnd.
honestly this guy is a perfect fit for chip kelly's scheme. If chip kelly would have recruited him to Oregon (in a scenario without mariota) i think driskel would of been a 1st or 2nd round pick.

super athletic and big, gets into a real good rhythm picking apart a defense with short-intermediate throws.

After sitting in Kelly's system for 2-3 years, maybe he can become something good. IMO At the very least, he will be a reliable backup

Lol didn't Tebow throw for over 4k yards and win a playoff game for Denver? Must be a great QB then.

You think Tebow would be out of the league if he passed for 4,000 yards in a season????

Not sure about the Kaepernick comparisons. Kap ran for 1200+ yards in a college season. Driskel ran for 300. If he compares to anybody on our roster it's Gabbert.
