Pretty interesting read for analytical people.

It seems others see potential in Driskel as well:

By the way (calling it earliest again) I really want to draft his teammate next year.... Trent Taylor

- Quick read and decision at :22
- Puts it to the outside where it needs to be at :28 a tiny bit too far but well within reason obviously WR caught it.
- Absolutely beautiful pass on the tough throw between two defenders at :34
- Another beautiful throw at :46
- Solid throw at :58
- Amazing run at 1:02
- Great throw at 1:09
- Solid run at 1:15
- Great throw at 1:39
- Looks away two defenders at 2:06
- Good touch on screen at 2:17
- 2:58 is highly interesting because initially he makes the wrong read as Hayes falls back last second, but Driskel's touch on the ball still places it perfectly making it impossible for Hayes to fully recover on the play and have any impact.
- 3:02 shows great leadership and touch on his pass as well as quick thinking.
- 3:15 is a good deep ball
- Really sells the fake at 3:29
- 3:40 teammates love this guy, and all take part in celebrating with him.

I mean if he plays well he can stick around but Chip ain't a QB guru he's a system guy and this kid has many flaws it will be interesting how he progresses

Chip's been able to take every QB he's gotten in this league to have career like years why does Chip have to be a QB guru if the system makes the QBs better?

to my knowledge no one ever said that. why do some posters ALWAYS have to do this crap?

Nobody is proclaiming that. But Driskel's talent is real and he has definite upside as a developmental project. Chances are against him but he was high on my board for QB's going into the draft. When factoring in talent and makeup, I prefer Driskel in the 6th over Cook or Dak in the 4th

I'm a Gator fan and was not a fan of Driskel while he was at Florida. I never thought he was the entire problem as our offense as a whole during those Muschump years was bad but he was just inconsistent and frustrating to watch. Our passing game was putrid and I always blamed him because I felt like he was slow to process things and quick to check down. However, I followed him closely at LA Tech just because I wanted to see what he would do in a spread system and despite my dislike of him, I thought he played phenomenal. He really saved his college career last year and because we hired Chip and his system, I think Driskel will end up being a great fit. I don't see him starting anytime soon but I'm interested to see his development by 2018. He can make all of the throws, has great athletic ability, big body, quick release and does a pretty good job in the short to intermediate stuff. I was hoping for Dak but Driskel in the 6th is great value and he will, at worst, be a solid back-up QB for us.

Fair points. But curious what you see in Dak compared to Driskel?

No one noticed kelvin taylor in the pic yes, taylor and driskel will be prominent leaders in 2018!! I also predict that Carlos hyde will be washed up by then due to all the ridiculous hits he takes lol

Why the fxxk are we looking for a back-up when we don't even have a legit starting QB? That is the question!!

Obviously cause Kap and Gabbert are better Qbs at the moment and its hard to keep 3 qbs going into the season
