If Hackenberg were an even bigger turd than he already is.

Future franchise QB? It shouldn't be that hard to compete with those 2 on our roster.

never know, quick release, touch and short range accuracy/decision making plus good size and mobility. i wanna see what chip can do with him

It's gonna take time regardless. I'd sit him 2 years at least.

he'll most likely sit behind kap or gabbs but who knows, maybe he owns them both in camp like willow did for seattle. i think were due for a little luck at qb.

I've watched him play a bunch. He'll need time to develop.

Unbelievably excited to have gotten taken by the @49ers what an opportunity!

Totally shocked.

Hackenberg was the worst pick of the entire draft imo.

As I said earlier...

If Florida ran even a semi conventional offense we would have NEVER had a shot at this kid.

Driskel was IT, until Muschamp decided he wanted another Tebow. Driskel is a classic pocket QB with plus awareness, arm strength and accuracy. Forget the size and speed factor. He knows how to play QB and is comfortable in the conventional style.

Maybe....maybe....maybe the best pick of this entire draft for the 49ers.

Maybe...

Yep and it didn't work out good for Florida and good for La Tech.

I can't lie, Driskel is probably one of my favorite picks next to Buckner.

I'm excited!!!

I don't wanna get my hopes up and jump the gun, but I agree with you!!!
Lol bet a lot of La Tech games and watched this kid. I know what happened at Florida but he got a raw deal and Florida shot themselves in the foot as they never found a QB to replace him.
One thing I noticed a lot is his poise in the pocket under pressure.
Good pick. Can't go wrong. He'll need to learn and then we shall see. Even if he's not the answer at least he's got the make up to be a serviceable backup.
We never know.
Either way I like what I saw out of him this past yr.
Has a nice touch.
Just glad we didn't get Cook.

Sit him this year. Give him lots of playing time in the pre season to see if he has a spark. Who knows what happens next year. Gabberts on his last year of contract. Kap is a giant question mark. Maybe he will be competing for a starting role after next season. Can't argue the amount of talent he has for a 6 th rounder. God damn
Love this pick! This kid can be really good with some good coaching.
