Lol, man that is pretty bad if they do in release Manuel. I remember predicting he would be the second QB off the board the year he was drafted.

Well they have Taylor and they just drafted Cardale Jones. Manuel has actually had a good preseason but they might opt to stick with Jones and develop him.

I am not crazy about Ponder but he is interchangeable with Kaepernick at this point, IMO. Now if someone else becomes available....
I believe there is more future with Driskel than any of the others but not right now. He may be ready by mid-season but I hope he can sit a year. In the meantime, I want someone with PT that is not #7.

Driskels rookie play looks good. Judge it by rookie qb standards. And he runs like a fairly athletic tight end in the open field. That is a big asset.

My guess would be Gabbert 1-2 series, Kap rest of 1st and 2nd quarter, Driskell 3rd and a bit of 4th quarter (maybe as much as half the 4th), Ponder half the 4th, maybe 3/4 of it. I bet they want to take a good look at Kap to see if he's worth keeping and putting up with the headaches. Driskell I think they will keep no mater what. Ponder will be more of a can this be a guy we could pick up down the road if we need him type look.
