21.25%, not too far off from what one might expect.

What he was thinking and didn't add was:

"I might actually get a chance to PLAY with the craptastic QB situation here."

I like the pick, who knows what any of these guys will do. He seems to have a strong arm and can run a little. Throw them all in there and let them compete.

Those are just the odds when you take a QB this late in the draft. Hopefully for his sake and the 49ers he does work out, or at least becomes a solid backup quarterback.

Interesting (geeky) breakdown of QBs entering the 2016 draft.

Driskel's athleticism tops the charts, and he produced an interesting combination of big plays and mistake avoidance. He wasn't efficient, and if you're an employee of an NFL team, you're looking at tape from his Florida years, too. That probably makes him unworthy of a pick before the late rounds. Still, as an unmolded lump of clay, he brings something.

of course this is what a 6th round qb is all about.. throw him into a system he knows. let him compete.. this guy was signed to add competition and to get alot of pre season reps so we are not exposing ck and blaine to much in pre season to injury.. I refuse to read any other posts in this thread cuz i do not want to here some people say. he is better than blaine, or trying to paint a picture he was taken to solve our qb question then ripping the niners for thinking that. he is just what a 6th round draft pick is supposed to be all about
I got to admit I thought he was horrible a Florida but after watching the highlights of his LA Tech games I was impressed with him. I thought he looked better than Cook and he has all the physical tools. He looked like a pro QB that last season. 2 or 3 seasons of coaching he could become a starter.

you missed the memo. when some thought we would draft cook. he was terrible with a terrible arm and lacked leadership skills... now that the niners passed on him. he is brilliant and he is the golden child we let get away and the raiders are so smart for trading up to get a qb they did not need

No, I still think Cook sucks.

He sure throws a pretty ball!
