I don't know why, after all the times we've read stuff like this, that it shocks us. Disappointment yes. Shock, no. Pro athletes are a pampered and spoiled group of people that have been idolized for much of their life. They're used to getting their way whether it's special treatment at a restaurant or a deal on a car or whatever. Then you factor in years of possible PED use and CTE and you have a formula for disaster. Sad to hear this but not shocked.

I didn`t know that unemployment checks was welfare checks

Man, is he that broke? I know a lot of ex NFL players that mismanaged thier money during their prime years and got into bad spending habits that are hard to break when the money dries up. That rape was a really really bad decision, and as you said, probably a whole string of bad decisions lead to that one bad decision. Sad.

Developmental disabilities can be many different difficulties in certain areas of life, especially in speech, mobility, learning, self-help, and independent living...
