Wake up this morning and the Mrs is watching TV and says 'Jarryd Hayne has quit the NFL...something about the Olympics..." I'm like wtf??? Can't be serious......unfortunately she was....Absolutely gutted. Why the hell would he quit now?? Surely he would at least play the preseason and if he doesn't make it try for another club.

Jarryd is playing us for fools if he thinks we are buying this Fiji rugby Olympics crap. Something doesn't add up. Wasn't he just talked up a week or so ago by the team??

He has let alot of people down, never figured him for a quitter. Can only imagine all the haters now, they will be having a field day. Very disappointing.

I'd say he got the tap on the shoulder by management. He should have got released and found another NFL club. Not just quit. Who knows he might still do that.

No guarantee he's even allowed to make the team. He needs 6 months drug testing or to be playing a sport with drug testing that meets the Olympic standard. NFL does not.

If Jarryd Hayne had been playing in WADA compliant sport he would have grounds to reduce the 6 months But NFL is PED badlands.

I agree with this, at least on the surface he look really piss weak. I think there is more too it and think he was pushed. I wonder if he will resurface in another NFL squad this season or if he is gone for good?
