Naw Mike has more experience as far as coaching and as an NFL player. Jed hired him because Jed is a dumbf**k, not because of race. Same reason he hired Tomsula.

You must be a young kid or mindlessly an over the top Jed hater. The person that did the most damage to the niners in their history was the GM named Joe Thomas whom was hired by...wait for it...wait for it...Eddie DeBartolo.

You must be really old because I'm almost 40 and have been a Niner fan my whole life and I don't know anything about Joe Thomas other than he was a s**tty GM in the late 70's for the 49ers. So for you to call somebody that doesn't know about him a young kid must make you like 60+, yeah? lol

i understand i am a young kid and the fact that i have been a fan since 71 means nothing .. but joe thomas was bad. the first thing he did was to fire monte clark after our 8-6 year which we started out 6-1 and only an injury to willie mcgee prevented us from going to the super bowl in my opinion. after monte got fired he then ordered every thing associated with our history taken down. he then traded for oj and gave away our draft for two years cept for f**king elmo boyd. went through two coaches in one year. fans were wearing bags on their heads to the game.. pretty bad and that was actually pretty good considering i am a young kid

This. High emotion, team feeling good, he basically hired Singletary on the spot without doing a single interview. Dumb and irrational decision. Jed doesn't have it in him to be PC and make PR moves like that.

Yup. Same thing last season when we luckily beat the Bears in OT. Rumors floated Jed though Tomsula had arrived. "What a fun win!"

I fear if we didn't tank the way we did and fans didn't respond brutally the way we did, we'd be seeing another year of Tomsula.

I'm not sure if Sing would be a very good coach in college. On the other hand, I bet he could recruit like a mofo. That's half the battle in college IMO.

I think he could do a pretty good job. All that rah rah, lets punch them in the mouth stuff works better in college than the NFL. Plus he is a Baylor alum and wouldnt put up with any BS from any of the players.


That program needs a giant enema right about now after the mess Briles left behind. Singletary wouldnt be under immediate pressure to win, just to clean things up and not completely fall on his face.
