No chance. I'm 100% comfortable with Lance & Purdy and have zero interest in giving up 2 more first round picks to get this guy.
We pay 3 ones for TL but 2 ones for Lamar Jackson is a bridge too far?
We don't have a 1st round picks this year so it's a moot point

Cap space is an issue and that is precisely why the price for Lance was so high. Cost control.

ratbirds are smart for not giving this bust a fully guaranteed contract. He won an MVP and lost the first game to a god awful Titans team as a 1 seed with a bye and homefield advantage. He's already been injured now 3 years in a row (missing the majority or at least half of the last two seasons).
He's far more likely to end a season on IR (especially as a run first QB) than ever win a super bowl.
Daniel Jones has as many playoff wins as this dude and been much more healthier.
RS MVPs are the most overrated thing in the NFL unless you can follow them up with SB wins.

If Purdy doesn't exist maybe I at least think about it before deciding it is a bad idea but as things stand, it is easy to dismiss out of hand. You can either have and practice a Lamar offense or a Purdy offense. The hope with Lance has always been that he gives you most of what we see with Purdy along with a bigger arm and an added running threat. Lamar is not and never will be compatible with that vision so I don't see the point.

Could the reality be that he's just not as good as the media thinks and teams can see that?
I thought John was just as ignorant as Jim but it looks like he's playing this much better than Jim will. Not hitching his wagon without taking everyone else's opinion is smart.

Why do all the stupid national media pundits think this is a thing? I'm being totally serious about this, would Lamar actually do better or more than Brock did in the games he played last year? I know he's won a league MVP but he's kind of been injured more recently and that's not too much better off than any of our other QBs over the last few years. He's definitely a top 10 QB and I like him but I don't think it's honestly a good scheme fit and the trade compensation it would require makes absolutely no f**king sense whatsoever.

I hope the Rams don't find a way of signing/Trading for him.

Bro nobody thinks it's a thing. It's the off season and they have to create topics and subject matter for clicks. They don't even believe what they are sayign but they have to say something to feed the beast that is sports talk

I would be quite alright with that. Please "rebuild" around Jackson with no first round pics and no money for free agents.

hes trash. Please tell me how he leads a team to SB. Rush for 2000 yards without ever getting injured? Held the ball too long on a dropback and his knee got destroyed cause he's so used to running. He hasn't developed as a passer since he got in the league.

A lot of people want to see these players get these huge fully guaranteed contracts but sure do love when their favorite team is over the cap and able to cut a player in year 3 of their contract bc they are no longer worth it.
football is different then basketball. Basketball players have long shelf lives and can often perform at elite levels through the span of their huge contract. Football players not so much.
