He should ask for a lower price contract, but include a demand for a huge chunk of the merch profit going to him.
Now Ben Roflisburgers is calling him out.

There is truth to him not being great from the pocket, but he is so dynamic with his legs that it helps a lot. His WR groups haven't been good but I also think Greg Roman and his crap passing scheme contributed a lot to that. It's not like his WR corp have been the 2004 49ers but they need improvment.
i think he should take $35-$40M a year and the team will make great use of that $10-$15M by help surrounding him with talent

Why do people care this much? No way in hell lynch/Kyle bring him here. This is a ravens problem. Not ours. He's not getting 250 mil guaranteed, this doesn't affect us. Why are you guys so obsessed with this?

Oh FFS. He's had a strong OL, a strong run game and strong defense his entire time there. There's one year in his career thus far where the Ravens didn't have a Top 10 D. He's rarely had to play from behind. He has as many 4th quarter comebacks as Baker Mayfield.
He's also played like crap in the playoffs so where exactly has he carried them?
People trying real hard in this thread to make Jackson equivalent to someone like Mahomes and he's just not that guy.
LoL. Dude's only asking for what he deserves. He's been underpaid for years and now wants to be compensated. You're overdoing this angle.

That's largely on him. While other QBs negotiated extensions early and will be moving on to their third contracts in a few years, he's trying to brow beat teams into a contract that only the Browns have been dumb enough to give.
He's already well behind Josh Allen in terms of earnings and the gap will only continue to grow.

Dudes 1-3 in the playoffs with 4 tds to 7 picks.
He's worse than Jimmy who is 4-2 and 4 tds to 6 picks. But at least Jimmy can manage a win or two before he's exposed.
Jimmy got paid based on the pedigree sitting behind Brady and lighting it up for all his starting games prior to being exposed. I'd say Jimmy got overpaid but he also got shafted a couple seasons of first round picks that could have helped put him over the top.
Lamar's probably worth 28-33 a year and you could build around him and win with the current cap. He's already demonstrated, against good teams (ie. The playoffs with smart coaches and game preparation) he's exposed.
He just wants too much. It's doubtful any team will even snatch him up knowing what they would have to give and that he wants to be overpaid.

LOVE to see him go to the Raiders and give the Chiefs lots of headaches.

*This the Ravens have dragged out his contract and tagged him on top of it. He had one of the most prolific season's ever and won an mvp. He should be properly compensated.

I don't get the fans on Twitter saying GET LAMAR, when it's not possible, have no 1st rd picks, or cap room, kiss Bosa & Aiyuk goodbye if you really want Lamar lmao.

Many fans do not leave in the real world of building a team and too many on air personalities feed into the nonsense, spending countless hours discussing trades and scenarios that will never happen. Furthermore I'm happy with Brock and Trey.

The reason I care about what Lamar gets is it may dictate future salaries. If he gets a huge guaranteed contract, other young QBs who are going to get new contracts are going to want more than he got and probably want the guaranteed money as well. It's all about setting the bar.

I think Lamar wants to raise it even more. The fully guaranteed contract is a real deal breaker for me. Not for any player but especially not a QB that likes to run as much as he does.

I'm talking about the absurdity of us acquiring Lamar.
As for this contract situation, I think he should get paid, but the guaranteed thing is insanity and NFL GMs should be cursing the Browns and their owners forever for doing that ridiculous contract.
