Funny how a lot of folks said he was dumb and needed a agent.

well, what y'all think now?

they are reporting that he is now the highest paid player in the NFL

It's being reported here that the deal was setup to more easily facilitate a trade for DeAndre Hopkins. The rumor I've been hearing is that the Cards trade an early 2nd+Hopkins for the Ravens pick #22.

so he got the richest contract, a new OC, and a new WR, maybe it wasn't just about the gtd money, maybe that was a part of the equation, but not the whole enchilada as they say, he should be thanking his agent right about now with a good ol pat on the back he did pretty good

for a lil bit. Joe Burrow's contract will eclipse this one.

yup the newest guy always gets the bag; at the end of the day it's such a comical pile of cash, these guys are set for life; heck even JG is set for life, he got about half of the current deals (deal with us), and that was only a handful of years ago, contracts have doubled in that time
What's guaranteed?

Alot of money for a QB who's best season as a passer barely eclipsed 3000 yards. He basically got all that money because of what he has done running the football. Fields must be licking his chops knowing that if he can just rush for over 1000 yards each of the next 2 seasons he is in for a massive contract. Regardless of how he throws the football.

kinda silly you would refer to his best season as a passer as barely 3000 yds,, do you feel that accurately paints the picture?

what about leading the NFL in pass TDs
or winning MVP (unanimous)
explain all the pass TDs, if he can't throw the football, I will wait
led NFL in pass TDs while Brady, Rodgers both active, Mahomes also, look at 2019 season
Good job Lamar

Yeah, I'm not knocking him when I say this, but the passing lanes he created because of how great of a run threat he was that that year has a ton to do with those TDs. It'll be interesting to see how he looks going forward, I imagine his running ability won't be going anywhere for at least 2-3 more seasons, barring a bad injury (which I hope doesn't happen to anyone). The hesitation and pause his run threat ability was incredible and helped open up the pass game.

a TD is a TD, doesn't matter how he gets it - he's dangerous. My concern about him is if he can't run as well. Now he has OBJ and potentially Hopkins, it would be great for him. Specifically Hopkins, that dudes hands are like stickum.

im just glad he is in the AFC because we've historically struggled with guys like fields, Lamar, Murray. They're so damn quick and agile

im super curious how he does without Roman, because Romans pass system and route trees are from 1970. Every WR hates playing in his system.

Which should do his pass game well. I've never seen a coordinator as excellent in the run game as he is, but completely awful at designing a pass game.

pass TDs was low that year compared to the years before and all the years after

as for pass TDs.. that doesn't make you a great passer. He won the MVP with his legs

I agree on the running to set up the pass, and I see this also from Fields who JT mentioned..

I don't think anyone can lead NFL in pass TDs, without having some skill at passing, not like he's just some glorified RB back there, like ppl try to make it out,, he is a QB

Realize his entire tenure try and name who his best WR is or was..
