Hes not great, but hes not bad either. If other QBs can get the, he has a bad OC and bad OL excuses, then it shouldn't be different for Cousins.

This. In Washington he had a good pass blocking OL, creative playcalling and no run game. Now he has a run game but no OL and remedial playcalling.

Yeah but I think their OL has actually been good this year. The Vikings are third in the league in rushing yards per game, and Cousins has had the longest time to throw of any QB in football: https://twitter.com/PFF_Sam/status/1179173373009682432

I'm wondering if Cousins is just mentally shot right now. I've watched a lot of Vikes games and it's like he has no confidence. 735 yards and 3 TDs with some pretty good offensive weapons is just pathetic.

You are nuts!! Jimmy G is a very good QB and he will only get even better.

Cousins is a loser, period!! Kyle doesn't know QBs as well as you think. If he was truly a QB whisperer, he would have gone for Mahomes, but no he screened him out immediately because he didn't play in a pro style offense in college. But, one thing for sure, at least he got it right with Jimmy G over Cousins!!

Actually he isn't. Cousins looked pretty damn good under McVay in Washington. No reason to think that Shanahan couldn't replicate that while throwing in an actual rushing attack.



Swap Jared Goff and Cousins and both teams will still be producing similar results.




Cousins isn't a Manning level QB that will throw a team on his shoulders but just as with Goff, he's a guy that you can win with in the right system.

QB is a tough job lol.

Absolutely no reason to believe that Shanahan wouldn't get more out of him than some random guy that appears destined to be a career QB coach after he gets fired from his OC gig.


Cousins hasn't played well but the problems in Minnesota run a lot deeper than just him. They built a high powered Ferrari of an offense and hired a guy whose only driving experience is with horse drawn buggies to steer it.



Once again, swap Cousins and Goff and I think you'd see both teams in the exact same position. What is the difference between them? They are basically the same guy just in different circumstances. Though I think Cousins probably knows in what direction the sun rises.

That is what Cousins is all about, padding up stats. He might be able to play OK during the game, but when the game gets tight in the 4th quarter, he just falls to pieces. We have seen it a thousand times. He will panic, craps in his pants and lose a game even when he has a small lead.

Don't be a slave to stats. You need to analyze this guy more from a qualitative standpoint.

If you were to make a call to the Vikings right now and propose for a straight swap with Jimmy G, their GM will even suck your balls to jump at the chance to offload Cousins and to land a gem in Jimmy G in a heartbeat!!

Kirk Cousins played competent enough against bad teams while craps the bed against good teams only just to pad his stats up when the game is out of reach. That's what he was then, that's what he is now.

First, it was DeFilippo's fault last year, now it's Stefanski's this year? No, Cousins is just a coach killer.
