The Packers defese ia ranked 18th in total D, they are not like the 49er defense. Kirk Cousins had a typical Monday night and a typical game against a team with a winning record. He just doessn't win those games.

So an average unit isnt capable of having a very good game?

Sure
Is Kirk Cousins capable of having a good game on Monday night? Maybe but I have seen no evidence of it.
0-9 on Monday Night

You have breakdowns of how he played in those games? Or just his record?

QB record is still one of the dumbest metrics to evaluate INDIVIDUAL play.

Winning is the point of the game. His record on Monday night and against teams for winning records say something about his ability.
I wouldn't call him terrible, more like a little above average.

Jimmy's record as a starter certainly says something about his ability as a QB.

Yes, it is the team's point of the game, agreed.

Cousins has the skillet, but lacks the ability to perform under pressure.

Which is why people shouldn't get upset when they see QB rankings. There is much more to being a good QB than stats.

Agreed 100%

Edit: Fantasy football and Madden has skewed people's perspectives on performance.

This eras Tony Romo

Romo will at least win a Monday night game, now playoffs thats a different story
Tony Romo was actually a better QB than he gets credit for. He played on a lot of flawed teams including the biggest flaw of them all, Jerry Jones who doesn't want to get rid of Garrett. As long as he continues to meddle in the day to day operations and coaching decisions they will have a hard time getting a good coach.

The most underrated QB in recent history.

Romo won playoff games
Romo won Monday night games
Not sure what Romo's win% was against winning teams

All the "BUT COUSINS CAN'T WIN BIG GAMES" crowd must all still be on vacation or something, maybe washing their hair, taking an extended siesta, watching hockey...

That said I hope he gets powerbombed by Bosa on Saturday!

Less than 200 yards and no TDs in regulation.
It took a bad day by Drew Brees, and two major boneheaded mistakes by Brees and Payton to get to OT.

Meh

Made the big play when it mattered. Won a big game under pressure.

Things people said he couldn't do bc he cant win on MNF. As if MNF sets the bar for big games or something.

Good for Cousins. Absent Garoppolo I would have loved to have Cousins here as he is better than any QB we've had since Jeff Garcia. Whether it be deserved or not I don't like it when people talk s**t. A lot of the s**t talking about Cousins has been unwarranted. A wild-card win is much better than a Monday or Sunday night win so the haters can suck it.

Things people said he couldn't do bc he cant win on MNF like MNF is some barometer when it comes to winning big games.

It mattered just as much or more in regulation. He only got that opportunity due to big mistakes by Brees and Payton.

He has a terrible record in big games.

Please don't hurt your back moving those goalposts, they can be heavy.

The bottomline is that in a playoff game, on the road, in OT, Cousins drove his offense down the field and put it in the endzone to win the game.
