The only thing that matters:

Cousins got it done and Drew Brees didn't.

You frickin like that?!
What's the deal? Cousins got it done and Brees didn't. As far as I know Brees got it done 1 time in his career and he's played two decades. Without looking at the odds or the matchups or the home field advantage the odds were strongly against Brees winning based on past performances.

Brees and Cousins both sucked in regulation.

Brees has played well in big games before

And it took him 10 years lol. He was 0 and 1 with the Chargers in the playoffs in 5 years, and won 1 playoff game in his first 3 years in NO.

Can we give Cousins some time lol? This is Cousins 5th year of being a full time starter. Lets wait a couple more years until we say a QB can't win under pressure or whatever else until he has some actual years under this belt. Come back when Cousins has 10 years of being a starter and then maybe people can actually critique him correctly.

IDK about the Brees comparison.

Cousins has a bad re ors in big games and against winning teams and he was not good in regulation yesterday.
His record speaks for itself.

He is 30 years old, he is who he is.

When they needed him most to get it done, he did. Five years from now, that is the only thing people will remember about this game. Cousins was clutch as hell and got Minnesota the W in a game that they were huge underdogs in.

I wouldn't call 190 yd and zero touchdowns in regulation in a playoff game clutch.

The Brees comparison is just fine. He didnt do s**t either his first 5 years. You cant have it both ways. You cant sit here and s**t on Cousins for basically the same things you give props to Brees for.

Cousins is a 4th round pick, who had to play for a couple years for one the worst franchises and HCs in the NFL. The only reason Jay had a job in the NFL is bc of his brother. Otherwise he would be still be coaching arena football, the job his brother got him lol.

Cousins is good. Elite? No and probably will never be that great. But hes much better than some people make him out to be. Just bc he cant win some MNF game that nobody cares about.

Leading your team down the field in overtime of a playoff game to score the game winning touchdown is the definition of clutch. Cousins got it done when it mattered most.

Nobody looks back at the 1981 NFC Championship Game and goes "wow, Montana got picked off 3 times, he was lucky to get out of there with a win!"

People say "Montana led the 49ers all the way down the field late in the game and threw it up beautifully to Dwight Clark to put the 49ers in front for good! That was The Catch baby!"

5 years from now the only thing that anyone will remember from this game is "damn, Cousins was clutch as hell in OT!"

Can't have what both ways, what has Cousins done that have I propped Brees for?
Lots more qbs have not done s**t for 5 years and kept on not doing s**t for the rest of their careers.

Cousins struggles against good teams.

Because he wanted the 49ers to get him.
