Leading your team down the field in overtime of a playoff game to score the game winning touchdown is the definition of clutch. Cousins got it done when it mattered most.

Nobody looks back at the 1981 NFC Championship Game and goes "wow, Montana got picked off 3 times, he was lucky to get out of there with a win!"

People say "Montana led the 49ers all the way down the field late in the game and threw it up beautifully to Dwight Clark to put the 49ers in front for good! That was The Catch baby!"

5 years from now the only thing that anyone will remember from this game is "damn, Cousins was clutch as hell in OT!"

Yes, he is just like Joe...except Joe regularly beat winners.
LOL

How come you pimp Cousins so much? Is there a past connection somehow? Not just recently, but in the past too. Just wondering.

I've always thought he had the talent to be a solid to good NFL quarterback. More than most QBs he seems to get bashed for things he has little control over.

In Washington he had big seasons despite the near total lack of a rushing attack, poor defense and still managed to win plenty of games and their management bet against him year after year anyways. He's a good dude that I'm happy to see have success in the NFL.

Must be his cousin

Got it. I thought maybe he went to your college or some personal connection. IMO he's a good QB, it's just that you seem very motivated to make sure people see that. I hope he sucks next week.

I like him as a QB. Also like Dak Prescott and Lamar Jackson a lot. And I hope they get smashed each time they play the 49ers.

I swear that after you made your post, i was gonna say, in before someone says you're comparing him to Joe. Lol.

The point is Woo, that people wont be talking about his zero TDs during regulation when people look back at this game.

Still sooooooo glad we didn't get him. His high pitch squealing cadence alone is unbearable for me. Red eightEEEeeeeeeeee. Sounds like he's taking a s**t outta his rat face mouth

I have to agree. As much as Cousins has stunk against top tier opponents he got it done yesterday. That's all people remember and quite frankly they won and that's all that matters. That being said he looked shakey most of the game. Again he got it done but take away Cook and I love our chances. I prefer our QB to theirs as well.
We all hold Kyle Shanahan in high regard for his offensive genius.

Well...Kirk Cousins was THE guy he wanted to run his offense here. Kyle has seen what Cousins was capable of doing on a mediocre to poor Redskins team and wanted him as his long-term QB. That should inform us.
I'm still shocked and surprised he won a big game. I really am. I never thought I would see the day in all my life. Amazing. Wow.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day lol

I seriously doubt he can put a lot of big wins together. I really do. But you never know.

All the "BUT COUSINS CAN'T WIN BIG GAMES" crowd must all still be on vacation or something, maybe washing their hair, taking an extended siesta, watching hockey...
In fairness: Cousins delivering on Sunday, and Cousins being historically unimpressive (in big/tough games) are not mutually exclusive. This doesn't magically erase his ineptitude up to this point, although it's possibly a new beginning. In my opinion, his reputation of coming up short in big games was rightfully deserved.

I'm glad he came through in this game though. The throw to Thielen was amazing (great catch too). The throw to Rudolph also isn't getting enough love, that was perfectly placed and was on a critical third-down. Gotta give credit to Stefanski/Zimmer having the balls to put the game in Cousin's hands.

Less than 200 yards and no TDs in regulation.
It took a bad day by Drew Brees, and two major boneheaded mistakes by Brees and Payton to get to OT.

Meh

The Saints offense pretty much didnt do much except some gimmick plays by Hill (not Brees )
