Could have had him if he wanted him but wisely chose the unproven Jimmy G. I have to say that does show a good judgement.

Your timeline is all messed up though. Yes, we are all more than fine with JG. But Kyle didnt have a chance to choose one or the other. One (JG) became available before the other (KC), and Kyle pounced.
All of your posts make it sound like Kyle had the option to choose one or the other and he chose Jimmy. That isnt what happened.
Of course he could have waited for Cousins. People cite waiting for Cousins as an excuse for passing on Mahomes.
He chose Jimmy G, closing the door on Cousins because he realized JG was better.
