Kirk wasn't the problem but hes not a solution either. Just like Phillip Rivers.

The Vikings are such a weird team. On paper they have either the most talented or second most talented roster in the NFC but they've never been able to build a proper offensive line and despite all the weapons they have, they tend to do less with more than pretty much any other team.

Imagine handing over that offense to McVay or Shanahan with all that talent to work with.

With an actual good QB, too. Hell, give Watson that roster(mainly talking defense) & Minnesota would arguably be a top seed.
"you like that?"

That was certainly exposed yesterday. They were just totally unable to deal with the 49er pass rush. Granted, the DL was "back to normal" with a healthy Ford and two weeks rest, but there was never a point where their OL looked competent. As a result, Cousins had no chance.

By contrast, the 49er OL, which frankly I thought would struggle mightily against the Viking pass rush, was dominant. The bye week helped but at no point did it seem like a huge issue.
Best Vikings team I ever saw had Steve Hutchinson mauling people to set the tone

The game is won in the trenches with a few exceptions

Neither of the two winning QBs yesterday threw for more than 140 yards. Its a "passing league" but in the playoffs, the game is still won the way it always has, down in the trenches. Minnesota got dominated on both sides of the line yesterday. You're not going to win like that.
For a cold weather team, they play in the dome and not as physical as people think like an outside team.

They should be like the Titans

True, but you can still pin your ears back against a blah QB with Cousins. You can't with Watson.

That has more to do with overall mobility than anything else. If Watson is back there at QB, Minnesota still loses, they were that badly beat on the lines.

Well I guess it was a good hire on the Vikings behalf, now they get to bring back Pat Shurmur.
What is his record against winning teams now? Like 6-50 lol

I think they promote Klint Kubiak to OC, and keep his father as an assistant to mentor his son.

So.....is it & will it ever be Cousins' fault?
