The point with Cousins is that Coach is the brains that runs the offense. He throws a nice spiral and most importantly is available on Sundays. Will the 49ers roll the dice and pray that Jimmy G goes injury free? Unless you have a viable alternative is it worth the risk? We will get clear answers come draft day.

If we don't invest in some O line, it won't really matter who is taking the snaps.

It's amazing how good QB's look when they're not running for their lives. On a side note, JG does like to hang onto to ball... which he never did his first season here...

it's hilarious how people skip this part when analyzing how bad cousins has done given his surrounding cast
I mean, objective analysis says that two of Cousins three individual seasons as a Viking were better than Jimmy's best season as a 49er.....and the third one was on par with Jimmy's best season as a 49er.
Amazes me how different the standards are for our QB versus others in the NFL.
I guess you completely missed the objectivity part where I mentioned that cousins has three pro bowlers at his skill positions. That's exactly what I'm talking about, your response is not even considering what cousins had and what Jimmy did/does not have. Finally Jimmy G has some good weapons IF they are healthy but again they would still all be back ups on the Minnesota Vikings.
By the way you do know Thielen had 14 touchdowns this year something all of our receivers combined haven't done for what the past 20 years almost? Hello? Jefferson and Cook are ridiculous...... How can you not understand this? It amazes me the low standards some fans create having an all-star cast for a horrible choke job of a quarterback versus the 49ers cast. Thanks for making my point for me

Facts. Cousins has A LOT to work with and we see what has produced.

This is standard WZ strategy. Pump up another QB's weapons in effort to minimize the QB, and minimize our weapons to pump up our QB. At no point in Cousins Minnesota tenure did he have three Pro Bowlers on the team. That is a fact.
Cook is a stud. Zero question about that. But of the 3 years that Cousins has been there, the 49ers running game has been statistically better than the Vikings in two of them. That is also a fact.
Cousins coming over to Minnesota also coincided with Pat Shurmur leaving. He had to then deal with 3 new coordinators in all 3 years that he has been a Viking. He will have a 4th new coordinator next year. Meanwhile, Jimmy has a top play caller in the game. Does this not count for anything? It should. A lot. While a new coordinator every single year should not absolve poor QB play (which doesnt apply anyways because Cousins play wasnt "poor"), comparing that situation to Jimmy's is a bigger difference to me than the difference in offensive weapons.
So yeah, I didnt prove any point for you.

typical delusional argument Trying to prop up a bad quarterback by using his stats alone. You did prove my point. You ignored the fact that he did have pro bowlers so stop trying to pull the losing argument . Cook is amazing, a pro bowler. Adam Thielen is amazing, a pro bowler, Stefon Diggs was arguably the best receiver in football last year a pro bowler. Cousins had him to work with now he has Jefferson an amazing receiver that broke the all-time rookie receiving record. Hellooooooo?
Pass me some of what you're smoking because there are plenty of fans like you that try to pump up other quarterbacks while downplaying ours. Our running game may have been great but like I said before and you have not answered any of those questions.... none of our receivers would be starting on Minnesota or our running back. Yes or no? It's I know it's hard to accept or deal with but it's just the facts man.
I have consistently said we need an upgrade at quarterback but you defending Cousins is not only hilarious but wrong in every way whatsoever. If Jimmy Garoppolo had those weapons we would've easily won the Super Bowl. Done deal. Minnesota had an excellent defense and their coaches are very good. Come on man. I'm just glad you're not running our front office because we will be choking every year against good teams and prime time games (another fact by the way), in the playoffs or scratch that we wouldn't have even made it with cousins. Maybe you can start a Cousins apologists thread or fan club

I'd bring in cousins to help develop Jimmy's deep ball.

It appears all Cousins needed was some quality pass blocking. Mind=blown.

Matt Stafford has proven to be pretty good with a good squad around him.

At least Kirk doesn't get hurt all the time like Jimmy.
