All those opinions were from the same people that do the weekly power rankings.

I just posted it as someone a few back posted something about a few analysts saying the 9ers were better. I answered him by posting that more than just a few of the same type folks disagree with that assessment.

I didn't quote him because I was hoping someone would come in and blast the media talking heads about being wrong, so that a niner fan could make my point for me.

Thank you for being the one to do so, and I agree, many of those guys have no idea what they are talking about, especially pre regular season. After the season begins, they mostly just go off records.

I think the takeaway from all the dust starting to settle in Seattle (minus the mud slinging by Wilson) is that Pete is definitely one helluva coach.

He's a defensive backs coach by trade, and I always gave him credit for building that secondary a decade ago. But the job he's done with this young squad might be his best coaching job.

The 49ers SHOULD win that December 15th matchup. Like everyone has said, on paper we are better.. but seattle is looking like a young team that is putting it together.

Looks like both teams will have a chance to continue building momentum as we head towards that matchup.

Hawks are killin it this year. They had one of those "hit" draft classes like they did a decade ago that set them up. My biased opinion if f*ck em, my unbiased opinion is Im not sold just yet. They remind me of last years patriots... you can see the cracks but they just havent been exploited yet. It's up to the league to exploit them or the hawks to shore them up. It's easy for the underdogs to put the league on notice... once the league is on notice, the hard part is staying there.

You are what we know you are but I have to say it's a bit entertaining slapping you upside your head with your own BS lulz. Thanks for the laughs, bud! Toast in advance to your next ban!
Very true this guy is the epitome of a troll. And like you said he keeps talking about me like he's known me for years. I'm glad I have a fan boy and he claims he isn't a previously banned member which he certainly is. Once a troll always a troll I guess. He can't think logically and he's full of…...Can't wait till he's banned because he contributes absolutely nothing and he is consistently wrong.

I get where the frustration from guys like guapo comes from. He has watched the niners get fully dominated by the hawks in the last decade. 17-4. What i don't get is where all the bravado comes from as right now you are on a 1 game "win streak"

I would be frustrated as well.

We aren't frustrated at all. You seem envious bc your s**tty Seahawks team has been a losing franchise longer than almost any team with only one Super Bowl to your name and that was against a decrepit Peyton Manning.

I will tell you this once and get it through your troll head, keep my name out your mouth b***h.

Yep, and if any hawks fan told you they have total confidence, they would be lying. I keep waiting for a real bad game like we saw early, but they seem to be pretty consistent. I think geno has a few things he needs to improve on. He needs to get a little more air under some of his balls. He throws a great dart, but if a defender reads it right, those low darts can be intercepted much easier. We saw this in that last game with the pick 6.

Our defense is doing well as a team, but we don't have that blue chip standout like a bosa or a Khalil mack. If we play a real good offense, we could really see some shortcomings in linebacker play especially. Pete's defenses historically have given up a lot of short yards stuff. Its the "bend don't break" style he prefers. For a fan, its maddening to watch you get dink and dunked for 80 yards. Sure, most of the time we get the stop in the redzone and force a field goal, but by then, the defense is very worn out.

I think by the time we play you on dec 15th, we should have a better understanding of how our defense performs against good offenses. And as I said earlier, the 9ers defense is a beast. Hoping we can get a run game going to force your linebackers and safeties to not be able to just lock down the back end.
Also, as I said earlier, we as fans weren't looking to really even compete this year. I thought it was going to be a "develop the rookies" type year. The next couple years look really good for our franchise. We have a ton of draft picks and lots of cap space. I think 2 seasons from now we could really have a powerhouse roster. Although if we hit again in the draft, and with the way these guys are playing now, it could even be possibly next year.
I've seen team do this before. They are coming off a rather poor season so nobody expects much from them. Teams take them lightly, especially early. They get off to a good start and momentum carries them to the playoffs. The following year they come back to earth and reality sets in.

The 2019 Niners had a similar year. Nobody was expecting that team to go to the SB but then they got Bosa and the entire defense came together. Jimmy stayed ealthy and had his best season ever and they got to the SB. That was 4 seasons ago and they're still trying to get back.

Fans often make the mistake when a team that wasn't expected to do anything actually has a good year that it means they will be better the next and so on. How many times have we seen SB winners struggle to get back again. Every season is different and things like injuries, free agent departures and coaching changes can have a huge effect on the following year.

When your team is playing well, enjoy it because you might be cursing them the following season.
why is there a sea chickens forum on here we will eat and sweep them this season geno smith lol still hot trash

Absolutely. I don't think we will be superbowl bound or anything this year. I would be happy to go one and done in the playoffs.

The difference is the guys we have that are doing well except for geno are either fresh rookie locked in on the cheap for a few years or already under contract for a bit. Waldron might stick around to take Pete's place when he retires, at least that's the hope right now.

On top of that, we are sitting on a crapload of high picks for a couple years, and we have really good cap space.

If the Broncos keep playing like they are, then those two #1's and 2's are going to be pretty sweet.

The Jamal Adam's contract is really the only thing we have right now that sucks. Hopefully he gets healthy.

What is your take on the McCaffrey trade? Looks like he came out of the gate playing well, but you guys gave quite a bit for him in what looked like an all in for this year type of deal. Do you think that will be a smart move long term? The hawks have made several of those type of trades, and not many have been worth it.

Quite cerebral, saying we will sweep them is something almost EVERY football fan would agree with. He may be wrong about Smith but you can't disregard how we shutout the Seahawks offense and embarrassed them as a team this year. Also, our offense is WAY better then it was in week 2 and our defense is STILL #1 in the NFL ypg. Mind you this is with the most injured defense in the NFL since the beginning of the year we have had the most injuries to very good starters every single week. It's not an excuse it's a reality and a reason to see how elite this defense is if they can still be number one with as many as seven starters out a game. Just unbelievable

I hope Geno Smith keeps doing "good" with the running game and wrs carrying him that way the Seahawks pay him 25 million plus next year and believe they don't have to draft a qb top 10.

Hi guys Seahawk fan here I come in peace ✌️
I still think the 49ers are the team to beat in the west especially in the playoffs. Adding CMC to a very talented offense gives Kyle another option to scheme and get others involved like Deebo, Kittle and Aiyuk. You have to pick your poison with that many options. Defensively the 49ers are among the best in the league and Hufanga is a baller. It's going to be a challenge for the Hawks to try to knock them off. We already got spanked once but truth be told, I like Seattle's chances in the next game they play. Aside from having a very efficient offense, they've managed to settle in with the new defense and are starting to click on that side of the ball 4th DVOA since week 4. If they manage to beat the Bucs as underdogs they will go into the bye week with a possibility of a 7-3 record which I had them winning 4 or 5 games at the beginning of the season. I don't want to call it house money because this team is capable of so much more but they've surpassed all of my expectations by far.
Lmao - we might as well adopt this little baby Seacuck troll of a thousand names.
Who the hell comes to opposing teams fan forums? Lol. Seahawks fans are the most annoying group I have ever met in person.

There are far more 49er fans at the NET than Hawk fans at the webzone. Both good forums if you want to talk football
