So I am back. Admittedly I have lurked a little in here over the last year, I wanted to post time to time but prioritized my well being. My "personal life change" (divorce) is pretty much done. Happy to report that I am mentally and emotionally in a much better place to the point where I can finally start watching/enjoying football (or anything) again. Seriously, do not wish this journey on anyone or if you sadly happen to be on that journey please reach out. I appreciate everyone who after my initial post, put colors aside and just appreciated folks as human beings.
Alright football. Seahawks look better on paper, I don't have much expectations for 2023-24 though, like you all saw the Hawks did NOT finish the year strong, but they far surpassed the expectations for the 2022-23 season. It would be cool to see a *knock on wood* season where Jamal Adams can stay healthy and see what he can contribute. The RW trade turned out to be just fine after all and kind of makes up for the horrible Jamal Adams trade.
My take on the Niners, firmly the front runners for the NFC West (FIRMLY), but hey this is the NFL, its pretty rare the pre-season expectations fully play out. Plus (Sorry y'all) what goes up, must come down. So...the momentum shifts more towards the Hawks, Cardinals in the NFC W (IMO Rams are in almost full rebuild). I am intrigued to see how Purdy plays out for the Niners because obviously all the draft capital was put into the Trey Lance pick, and more teams will have more tape on him. Oh just for my curiosity to the Niner fan base were you all happy with the Trey Lance trade? or given the draft capital spent on Trey would you have preferred he was given more time/chances? I am not a Niners fan so I didn't really follow Trey Lance's progression.
