Agreed.

There's also a saying "You will never be criticized or hated on by someone who is doing more than you." So that being said...The Niners are like #1 ranked right now and definitely top SB contenders, where my Hawks are clearly playoff hopefuls? So I am kind of shocked the anger that the Seahawks is at a 1-1 record and got an OT win. Like if I were in your shoes, I could care less about the Hawks until they play my team or if it was legitimately closer to the end of the season and things were tighter in the playoff race.

Scheudenfrade baby. It never gets old. Like the time I was going to win $500 (hedge bet if the 49ers didn't make it) if Marshawn just punched it in against the Pats but could care less about the $500. I wanted the Seahawks to lose so bad and they did lol.

Scheundenfrade is taking pleasure in another person's misery. Original post someone getting upset over another persons success or in reality a superior team getting upset over an inferior team's success (I'm being real here). Also this is why I never bet on other teams or play fantasy football. I want no stake in any other team but my own lol.

This right here. I feel like I'm one of the only people that I know who could not care any less about fantasy football. And the bolded is one of the biggest reasons why. I don't want to root for a player from a team that I don't like just for my fantasy team; nor do I want to root against my own team in any fantasy scenario. I just like to watch the games and root for the teams I want to win.

I've been playing fantasy football since the mid 2000's and it has never interfered with my passion for our beloved 49ers. It ain't that serious :)

I forgot to mention also I'm too lazy lol. I did it once in high school almost 20 yrs ago and never felt like managing my roster. After I did my draft, I never logged in again and bothered to make any changes. I guess I've just never really cared about it. I feel like my time is better used on other things personally

I just browsed .NET for first time in awhile.

Seems like a good # of posters on there have the type of arguments that elguapo and I have had for years.......they're all quite knowledgeable on how to destroy Wilson. Man, feels like vintage me posting up there....but instead of one guy posting and the others debating/trolling, they're all in agreement!!

Amazing what happens when someone is no longer on your team, how much clarity one could have.

And what's even better is they're doing a better job of destroying Wilson in subtle ways because they recognize all his post game conference quotes and mannerisms none of us would know, LOL.

I've spent many years always trying to be accurate and neutral on topics, and despite me being a Seahawk/Wilson hater, I always tried to come correct on his weaknesses and why he was carried.

So did Wilson beat the Niners last year 11-10, or did Denver's defense put on a 180 from yesterday's performance? 16-4, 17-4 or whatever is all they told me......Wilson is just so amazing, our defense has no answer for him..........

Now everyone in the 206 finally sees what a few of us saw.

Feels f**king good to be right.
Seattle fans have no room to badmouth Wilson considering his prime years kept them from being a mediocre team. Sure, the defense is what won them that SB, but they don't beat us in that NFCCG without Wilson doing his scramble drill.
The Russell Wilson or "ME3" hate over on .nut is hilarious.

They come off as so bitter and angry like a jaded ex who finally realizes what a pos the person was. So it's all coming out in droves now.

They should've badmouthed him WHILE HE WAS STILL THERE, the way we do here about all our QBs. I'm sure if the Zone existed in the '80s, Montana THE GOD would've gotten it too! Certainly Young would've been killed here until January 1995....

And yes, Wilson beat us with the scramble drill. They should've realized that was the only way he was productive in the W/L category as an NFL QB when combined with that run game, defense, and special teams.

He never consistently diced up a defense. What Purdy does now, Wilson couldn't do with similar weapons.........hell, even Jimmy G was better, especially at his best.

BUT OH BOY DOES HE THROW A WICKED DEEP BALL OR EVADE 6 GUYS AND THROW TO A WIDE OPEN RECEIVER FOR 30 YARDS!!!!!!!!

It's hysterical how truly myopic most of them were.

I mean, just think, a forum has the full gamut of humanity on it.........every single personality type. And yet, ALMOST NONE of them remotely challenged Wilson close to what we've done to our QBs ever.

Smith 2011-2012? This is great, but questioned often.
Kap during his epic 2012 streak? Nice, but questioned after the Seahawk ass kicking.
Jimmy G during 2017? This was really nice, but where are the deep balls and stats?
Lance? Defended mostly, but obviously criticized too.
Purdy? People are very excited, but still very cautious to declare him THE GUY. If Purdy doesn't win the 49ers a Super Bowl, one way or another he will take the blame even if it's not his f**king fault, that I guarantee you.

And every single one of the guys above won with run game and defense, but so did f'n Wilson. In fact, he certainly won with more defense than any of these guys (Smith/Kap a little more, but the others almost had no defense to speak of compared to how the game was back then).

Wilson at his best was a system QB that you have to give lots of credit to Carroll for making him successful. Certainly it's not a complicated system, but one that would've needed INSANE humility to actually run. Carroll being a defensive coach likely is the reason why it worked. There's no way Reid, Kyle, McVay, or any other offensive mind would've had the stomach for it unless it was for one game or something. Belichick probably would've made Wilson "work" like Carroll, but only because he doesn't care about having an offensive ego.

What I'm saying is 100% factual. Sean Payton with Herbert could've maybe been a good HC/QB marriage, but not Wilson.

And last thing I'll say:

Playoff defenses, especially divisional/championship round are just too good to allow Wilson to succeed. He only succeeded 2013-2014 enough on the strength of that roster and some f**kING LUCK, but when you watch the splits of him versus every team he rematched regular season to post, his drop off was significant. Saints and Niner home blowouts turned into 1 score games that went to the last second. Packers blowout at home turned into a 4 interception game he should've lost.

So did those opponents' coaching and QBs really play a lot better in the rematches or did little Wilson maybe suck it up a bit under the January bright lights?

2012 caught everyone off guard, so his Falcons playoff game was "good". But by 2013, no more.
