I really had no beef with the Cards in all their NFC West postseason runs (2008, 2009, 2015).

Hopefully the feeling is mutual. Only care about them losing when it's head to head or divisional rankings, but I don't have this hatred for their success like Seahawks or Rams.

Zag, better luck next year.....just can't have the Seahawks participate in a postseason they don't belong in.

Niners missed many postseasons since the 2002 NFL re-alignment....2010 in particular I recall they should've had......we missed in 2014 also when we had a semi-decent Harbaugh team.

So annoying that every freaking Seahawks Carroll iteration is in the running....

I appreciate the sympathy. I know this is blasphemy as a sports fan (at least some of my fellow Seahawk fans think so) but I have no desire for my Seahawks to go to the playoffs as you said they don't belong in. They're not going to suddenly click it all together in the final game of the regular season, so they would enter into the playoffs just as they have been an inconsistent team. Outside of maybe pulling off a major upset against the Niners which I would of course enjoy out of pure rivalry fun. My hawks going to the playoffs accomplishes absolutely nothing towards the greater good/success for my team because they will most likely be one and done or have one miracle/lucky win type game. It would just continue to convince the blind eye fans that nothing needs to be fixed and insert random excuses why the team couldn't make it further in the playoffs and of course a worse draft position (which it always still a crapshoot but you always want a better position if your team didn't win the SB that year).

I would rather miss the playoffs for 10 years but enter in a true top 4 team for 2-3 years, than make it consistently for 10 years but each year be a top 10 team where you're hoping external factors to make the difference all the way to a SB.
Geno sucks

Hatred is not the same as the Seahawks or the Rams, but Ive always found the Cardinals somewhat annoying, not really the fans since they don't exist.

id say the peak of my dislike was in 2009, they won the division but imo we had the better all-around roster, swept them including a beat down at Candlestick on MNF. Unfortunately the Niners lost a lot of close games that year, if they would've had just an average head coach they would've won the division over AZ.

This is saying a lot, because Kurt Warner at QB really trumps anything we've had. They had WRs too...
Anyone rooting for the Hawks to win this weekend so they can make the playoffs? Rooting for them because they did do us a big solid by beating the Eagles and just because Zag is a cool guy, whom we all like despite his questionable fan allegiance choices?

Nah, I can't root for them either. That said, knowing the Hawks and Petey Carroll, they're gonna get in and make a little bit of noise.

Not really. AZ was a one dimensional team (although a very good one) and their defense was pretty bad. 49ers had one of the leagues best defenses. As far as the Offense, the Oline sucked, but Vernon Davis finally reached stud status, I may be wrong but believe he led the league in TDs that year, Frank Gore continued to play at a high level, and Michael Crabtree was seen as a young up & coming player, Alex Smith when he got the starting job was decent at times. And outside of a 45-10 ass kicking by the Falcons at Candlestick. All the games that they lost were by a TD or less, not saying they would've gone very far in the playoffs, but if they just had a Norv Turner type coach, they make it which leads me to my point, despite Mike Singletary brining toughness to the team, he was a worthless head coach, and the 2009 & 2010 49ers biggest downfall. In just 2 years Jim Harbaugh would take those same players(with some added pieces of course) and lead them to a 13-3 season all the way to the NFC Championship.

ahh…such simpler times

I hope they sneak in and win in wildcard
49ers will face the lowest seed which would be these cucks...pimp slap them 3 times in a season for the second year in a row

Nah I would rather have a chance to play the Packers in the Playoffs.

I don't know. If i was a Niner fan that type of game has trap game written all over it and I would fear it vs hope for it. It would be devastating if your team lost because this is a SB or bust year for the Niners. The Seahawks (and the fans) have absolutely nothing to lose in a game like that but the Niners would have EVERYTHING to lose. If the Hawks play no mercy even in a loss and y'all end up with a crucial injury or just beat up leading into your next game..or if your team lost. Yeah your offseason would be horrible, because no doubt you would question...did another SB window just get wasted? how much time is left in this window? how are you gonna beat your chest to your Seahawk fan friends knowing their team kicked your SB bound team out of the playoffs?

Meanwhile for the Hawks fan losing that game or missing the playoffs entirely really doesn't do anything at this point. I think most Hawk fans acknowledge the Niners are a vastly superior team at this point, so having our Hawks get their asses kicked really doesn't mean much. it's only when you think that your team is on par (or better) that it's really upsetting in a loss. Right now...my bigger frustration is when is Pete moving on.

I appreciate the compliment. Honestly if I was a Niner fan you'd probably hate me because I'm very critical of my own team lol. Like when it comes time to pay Brock, I'd be in the camp of let him walk.

That being said...again this is blasphemy, but I do NOT want my Hawks making the playoffs. The only good that could come out of it is somehow if my Hawks pulled a fast one out of their butt to upset the Niners just for rivalry sake. But honestly making it and/or winning a playoff game would just result in more fool's gold and lower draft position. I love my Seahawks and I want them to stop treading water as sort of competitive, I want them to compete. Break those eggs and make an omelet (hopefully).

Careful for what you wish for. It was also every 49er fans wish after the 2005 season. Tear it down. Start over. The team did just that. They hired a new head coach (Mike Nolan). He promptly passed on the opportunity to draft Aaron Rodgers and rolled the dice on Alex Smith. That was 2006. It did not turn out well. 49er fans would be forced to wait until Harbaugh came in and turned it around in the short term. In the meantime, a series of horrible drafts featuring very high draft picks brought in a bunch of players who nobody remembers. We had a GM who was quite famous for drafting injured guys and letting them sit on the bench until they healed. He thought they would be draft day "steals." Not really. None of those injured guys ever played.

That can happen if you "break those eggs."
Is there anything more annoying than hearing a seahawk fan refer to them as "my hawks" or "my seahawks"?

Or really any team for that matter.

I find it a better way than referring to the team as "us" or "we" since..I don't play for the Hawks and don't have anything to do with the organization itself. But referring to them as just The Seahawks kind of feels like I don't show my allegiance. So yes they are My Hawks or My Seahawks. Because it's my team I love and root for. Especially when I'm posting on a rival fan board, it's a to make sure I am showing my connection to my team. MY team vs pretending I am creating distance with them in a bad year, especially when I am being very critical of my own team. Acknowledging...I am going to talk crap about my team, but it's MY team.

I actually agree with this post and your last one.

If anything, the "Go Hawks" thing is real annoying part of Seahawks fans. (besides the 12 fan jerseys which are the worst in the NFL IMO)

Not because of that phrase itself, but online you see fans in comment sections discussing (or arguing) about football... then there's always like 5-6 posts that just say "Go Hawks". It's like Seahawks fans have nothing to offer the discussion besides essentially saying "Go Team!".

Idk why it bothers me but it does.
