The Rams did it first against the Giants in 2014.

Video or it didn't happen I wonder why more teams don't try that, especially when they're way down and they have nothing to lose if they get a penalty?

Only the Seahawks EVER INNOVATE ANYTHING AROUND HERE:

Link doesn't work, but I was just joking, I know they did

Why this thread even exists at this point is beyond ridiculous. Our Niners don't even belong in the same conversation with the Seahawks. Their organization is light years ahead of where our team is now. Waste of breath IMO.

I am not sure what you are trying to say here. This forum exists for us to discuss NFL issues and this thread exists for us to discuss the Seahawks. If you find that ridiculous dont post here. Simple. I dont agree with your comments about Seattle but if you feel so inferior, try .net. You say we dont belong in the same conversation. This is one of the silliest remarks I have ever seen here. And anyway, this thread does not exist to discuss Seattle in the same conversation as SF. Read the title.

No, it was close, but Gano just shanked it. Then Kam wound up running into him.

Was still pretty cool though.
Russell's gonna be a father ... Congratulations to Russell & Ciara

I always knew he was a pek pek
Wilson's 3rd injury so far this season.

Not a playoff OL. Maybe Schneider will get knocked off his high horse for once that he's made a mistake in drafting/FA priority. Letting go of Jonathan Ogden to Denver doesn't look so good now.

Saints gonna bring the blitz this weekend, Buffalo & Philly too in weeks to come.

I think Boykin can win games in Wilson's absence. In fact it would be the first time I'd root for a Seahawk QB since Hasselbeck in the Super Bowl.
Rw is lucky these are minor injuries as Seattle is almost always among the luckiest teams to avoid major injuries to key players. Losing Russel okung was a loss but many Seahawks fans will point out he was off injured so it didn't really matter that much (yeah right).

I really want to hear what the rw apologists have to say about his average to below average play this year. He looked putrid against the cards and also against Miami (even before his injury). They didn't even pass mid field.....MID FIELD for 55 minutes. Inexcusable. That is solely on rw. He constantly missed passes and gave up on plays, threw the ball out of bounds and was not too accurate. His wrs were open at times too. Graham and Baldwin usually are. He also looked like garbage against the Rams. And so on and so on. Hell, WITH Baldwin and jimmy graham! Wow. The ol is doing a decent job in the run game but overall not consistently good in pass pro. But the OC and quick passing game of the Hawks has always fared well in spite of the average ol. It's hilarious that rw is now a bench player in most fantasy leagues. Keep in mind he did great passing against bad defenses last year for those few games so he should really of been able to keep it up.......right? Nope, guess not. He looks like he has regressed even with jimmy graham bailing him out and Baldwin too.

It feels great to know you're right

Isn't his passer rating 94 this year?
I'd love that kind of play for the 49ers.

Seahawks are #31 in run offense (3.1 YPA as per ESPN), a full yard behind the 49ers for reference. The passing game is still #11 in the league at 7.5 YPA, but the eye test says they are no more functional in this area of the game than in the running game against teams with above average end rushers. The passing game is mostly a function of the team abandoning the "chunk plays", as nobody is honoring the play action, in an effort to get the ball out of Wilson's hands in a hurry (less than 2.4 sec to get the ball out last week vs a historical number of closer to 3.5 seconds)

Without the deep threat and a struggling run game, the Seahawks do not seem able to put together sustained drives (or any drives at all last week). There are far too many things going wrong with this offense right now to hang it all on one player, but I tend to put more of this on an inexperienced OLine with no talent at the tackle position. Wilson plays his part in the inability of the team to move the ball consistently, but I don't think he is totally responsible for the failure any more than I think he is totally responsible for the successes when things are going well. There are about 3 positions (possibly 4) that need upgrading for the Seahawks offense to be successful - I don't believe QB is on that list. If the nickname of the secondary is the "Legion of Boom", the nickname of the present edition of the offensive line should be the "Grabby Matadors". For some reason 5 holding calls, 1 procedure call and one personal foul seemed to interfere with the rythm of the offense.

Wilson is currently playing with a high ankle sprain that occured in the first game of the year. This quote is from Dr. Matt Matava - Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery Washington University School of Medicine. "players who sustain a high ankle sprain are often out of sports for four to six weeks depending upon the injury severity. Sports that involve cutting and pivoting, such as football, are especially difficult to play in the setting of a high ankle sprain." Wilson has missed no time, but htis injury has obviously affected the offense. You only need to look at his rushing stats this year vs his career average to appreciate that.

His other injury that he has been dealing with since week 3 is an MCL sprain. It comes much closer to your description of a "minor injury" According to the website questionabletostart.com, "only 14% of the players with MCL sprains missed zero games", however they go on to state more players than that likely return quickly as MCL sprains are sometimes reported only as "knee injuries". How much having this injury and a high ankle sprain on his other leg affects him is something I have no idea on.

His third injury is a something to do with the pectoral muscle (no report on the extent so far) on his throwing side. They think it occured on his one keeper on the read option early in the 1st 1/4 of the Arizona game when he was brought down by his right arm for a 2 yard loss. I don't know the extent of that injury, but its worth noting that while he missed no practice time with the 2 leg injuries, he was listed as limited yesterday with the pectoral.

Yes, no doubt Wilson is the epitome of lucky.

Some interesting career RW stats from @FieldGulls:

-101 passer rating is best ever for a QB over first five seasons.

-1.8% interception rate is the best ever for a QB over first five seasons. Nobody else with 60 such starts is under 2%

-2nd-best road passer rating (104.9) in NFL since start of 2015 behind Tom Brady (106.8)

And, considering the state of the much maligned o-line, this is surprising. . .
-Russell Wilson's been sacked 25 times in his last 15 games. Was sacked 31 times in the previous seven games.

Anyhoo ~ I for one, am happy to have him. Though I will admit, till this season, he has been fortunate on the injury front - here's hoping for fast healing and strength before there's a last straw. . .

Yes, I don't get the below average assessment. Maybe I am missing out on an inside joke here.
