Perfect example of why it's hard to have a real dynasty where you win multiple SBs over a 10-15 years period. Seattle started winning when Wilson got there and became a really good team with that young aggressive secondary along with Wagner at LB. People immediately started talking about a dynasty since all their players were young.
Well they won one SB and lost one on the final play. Players started getting hurt or leaving for more money. Seattle started over paying free agents and whiffing on the draft. Now Wilson is showing signs of decline and Carroll could be on the way out if they can't right the ship next year. So much for the dynasty.
Not to mention trading away their draft picks for a blitz boy safety.
At the time it seemed like great move, but in hindsight I think them trading away their good center Max Unger for Jimmy Graham was their first questionable trade. They were a meat and potatoes offense that played great defense. Trading away their good Center for a flashy TE that had no interest in run blocking showed they were willing to rely on Wilson running around making plays.
Great point about Unger Graham trade. I disagree though, Adam's was a good safety but was never worth that price tag and then the contract, in my opinion.
