If I'm being honest, no better time to go with a veteran QB than right now in the NFC West.

They beat SF because they have Wilson. Dats it.

This is a perfect time to play Lance...Seattle isn't Seattle. Murray is about as overrated as it comes. LA is freaking good and is about to pay Stafford north of $45M per though. They can win games with Lance AND develop him.

Seattle isn't the same but the off season hasn't even started yet, they have a ton of ammo (picks and cap space) to do damage in this off season, much more than SF.

Seattle has done a terrible job drafting in recent years. There's no guarantee that thet do a good job this year especially since the draft doesn't seem to have a lot of elite talent. Niners fans are concerned about Trey taking over as starting QB this year but at least they know who their starter is. Seattle just lost their heart and soul from the last decade plus and don't know who is going to replace him. Releasing Wagner who was the heart of their defense is another huge blow.

True they haven't done well, but they're in a prime spot to possibly take Malik Willis or make a splash trade. Not to mention they have the second most cap space right now.

Pete is 70 years old and its no secret he's not sticking around for an extensive rebuild with a rookie QB. They're going to make a move for Watson. Hopefully he will get indicted and be tied up in the legal system for another year or years making him unavailable to play (presuming he actually did what is repeatedly alleged).

Haha. It's not a huge blow. Go and watch some film of him from last season. Just average, no commitment to tackling at all. Slowed right down. He's done.

Not in a million years. 😂

Wilson wasn't great last year either but my point is those 2 have been the leaders on offense and defense for the last decade and now they're gone. It's hard to replace players that were that good.

It seems they have an interest in Matt Corral.

Your right.
I think Wilson will be excellent for Denver and will be difficult to replace. It seems that Seattle didn't want to stump up the 40-50million to keep him at the end of next season.
Wagner is toast though imo. He's been sliding the last two seasons. He won't be hard to replace. There are plenty of good Lb's in the draft this year.

It's not Wilson, it's their defense, key 49er players are always injured, extra Hawk intensity, flukes, whatever.

When Garoppolo beats the Rams, it's Shanahan.

When Case Keenum and Nick Foles beat a prime time Seahawks team, it's the Rams have the Seahawks #.

When Wilson beats the 49ers, it's only Wilson and nobody else.

s**t's annoying AF.

Yeah he's decent but if the 49ers offense can be as effective against them like they are versus everyone else, they would win most of the time.

Instead for whatever reason, our offense cannot dominate against that team. And when you have a decent QB like Wilson, it keeps you in the hunt most of the time.

Cheat Carroll is going to regret trading Wilson. He's a good QB. I think one reason he traded Wilson is because he's clueless on offense the way Seifert was on offense. Seifert never could recover after losing Holmgren and Shanahan. It's going to be the same way with Cheat Carroll, and his drafts sucked the way George Seiferts draft sucked too.

Wagner has 170 tackles last season. That was a career high. 93 were solo which was only 4 less than his career high. He hasn't slipped that much.
