So glad I'm not the GM. I would've picked him. Lol

Seriously? He's ALREADY a bust?

I liked Goff (not as much as I liked Connor Cook), but even I wouldn't have started him until year 2 at the soonest.

2 Rookie QBs taking control of winning teams. For a 1st pick overall it's not looking good. Not to say he will be a good player, he is behind.

Those rookies are on teams that are much better than the Rams. Dak has the best OL in football, the best RB in football and one of the best receiving corps in football. He's like Matt Ryan; super-duper spoiled. Plus he was a senior coming out of college. Same thing to a lesser extent with Siemien.

You don't throw a raw rookie into the fire on a s**tty team. They're making a mistake by starting him this early. Lynch is the same way (raw), which is why Siemien is starting; but Lynch will be the better QB, just like Goff will be better then any of the aforementioned QBs.

Rams are not that s**tty...Just can't figure out the QB position and keeps ending up with crap QB. I doubt Goff could do what Dak is doing in Dallas if he was the starting QB.

Yes, the Rams are that s**tty. They suck.

Goff isn't ready yet. I wouldn't have even played him 'til next year. Dak was more pro' ready, but Goff will be the better player in the long run (although Dak will look better for a few years due to insane OL / RB / WR talent). Dak is not a special talent. He'll come crashing back down to earth soon enough. He'll be one & done in the playoffs.

The Olive is atrocious. Keenum has taking some hard hits this year because of those guys. I would have kept Goff on the sidelines for another year so they could revamp that line and give him some solid protection.

They are crappier than they look cause Keenum and Goff are the QBs. Not to say Goff won't get better, but he looks like crap. Kaep and Gabbert look better than those two. I know you have Goff loyalty, but if that is a preview of his arm strength it's going to be a rough NFL career.

That's a whole lot of projection based on nothing but hope. Everything we've seen to date shows us a QB who can be adequate with some development. But nothing even close to approaching a 1st overall selection and a 500+ page draft forum thread.

Remember, I'm not like a lot of the 9er fans here who will give a kidney do draft a hyped QB as a top pick.

This team has so many problems I'd rather draft a stud d lineman or LB over an OK QB who is only hyped because of a weak draft class. We can look for a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round. Then we can see where we're at next year and maybe make a pitch for a stud QB if the option presents itself.

No doubt. We need to draft best available with potential to start as a rookie.
If Alex Smith is still in the league leading a team to the playoffs no one is a bust just yet.

He ran Urban Meyer's college o, got to sent to an expansion quality team and threw 1 TD and 15 picks his rookie year. You got to give them time. Goff isn't ready and who knows if he ever will be but you're drafting for down the road.

Oh Alex is a BUST! 1st pick overall pick and an average QB...that's a BUST.

Not really when you see the careers of most first round QBs. A lot of the successful ones come later in the draft.

I've been saying he's Ken Dorsey 2.0 since before the draft.
Does he really have that weak of an arm? Never seen him play other than highlights.

Yes. His stats were inflated by a spread, pass first offense.

Say he is average. I wouldn't call the 16th best qb a bust even if he was the top pick. Slight disappointment is about as far as you can belittle him.

Ryan Leaf is a bust.

Your right I give him that. But dang he was so good when he played for Utah, I'm just mad he couldn't make it happen for us.
