He will never be worth it.

Yeah that's not really on him though and most players picked in crazy trades like that can never come close to matching it.

I have zero Goff loyalty. That's insane. He's a Ram; I'm rooting against him. I hope I'm wrong.

That doesn't change the fact that Goff is an extremely smart QB who can read a defense, in addition to being very accurate. That's something the Niners haven't had since Young. But the dude is not ready for the NFL yet, which is why it's f***ing ridiculous to judge him based on how he looks NOW.

People aren't calling Bryce Petty a bust, are they? The dude sucks because he's still nowhere near ready to compete at the highest level. And this is coming from a guy who likes (and liked) Bryce Petty a lot more than most late-round prospects. Petty's ready to play & work through his growing pains, but he's nowhere near a finished product. Goff isn't even ready to take the field yet IMO.

People don't call Petty a bust because he was never expected to be a franchise QB. We hold Goff and other top QBs to higher standards because they ARE expected to be franchise QBs. They should not be viewed similarly.

This isn't about where he was drafted; it's about how good of a QB he is. And it's ret***ed to say there's a big enough sample size to even remotely decide whether a guy's gonna be a good / bad / great QB or not. It would be ret***ed to do so after an entire season. The guy deserves at least 20 - 25 starts or so before you can even begin to see what he is. Especially having come out as a junior.
Didn't he look pretty good yesterday?

He threw a few really nice balls early but didn't look nearly as good in the second half.

Agree

They sure sold the farm for him.

Hasn't won a game. One more loss and Fisher is right back at his usual 8-9 loss season lol

I don't understand how that guy keeps getting head coaching jobs.

No doubt. It seems like he is one of the head coaches that get to pick all his players and still stay mediocre.

Horrible. Goff doesn't stand a chance as long as Mr. Mediocre is there

Weinke, a guy that won 2 games in this league is his QB coach and Fisher, a guy that should've been out of the league years ago is his HC. Goff is a loser. He lost in college and will do the same in the NFL until he can get a coach that can change that. Fisher can't and he's there for the next 2 years Good luck, Goff but I'm happy to know they have at least two more years of mediocre at best football

I agree. Goff isn't a difference maker at the NFL level. He doesn't have the physical tools to justify his draft position. He's just a guy.
