Too early to call him a bust but early returns aren't great. Good thing there is a precedent for QB's to play like s**t in their first season and then better down the road. That said I thought he'd be a bust last year and he hasn't proved me wrong yet. And yes I do hope he fails, purely because he's a Rams player.

Who knows how this kid will ultimately turn out, but considering what the Rams gave up to get him, it's hard to believe that he will ever be able to live up to his draft position. I mean, even if he develops into a decent game manager - while that's not bad, it's not really worth trading all those picks for. When you go all-in on a quarterback like that, you better end up with the next Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning.

Alex Smith may have been terrible as a rookie, but you can tell by the body language and confidence that it will change.

Goff looked really bad but Gurley's regression has been more surprising to me.
