lulz at both of these. How about the thread labeling him a bust was too quick and now we are seeing the kid mature into an NFL QB. One who looks to be pretty promising.

Also, I think the thread should just be the Jared Goff thread.

I wish they would have tagged him.

We're more accustomed to watching qb's develop over a decade's span not watching them go from a 63 to 118 rating overnight.

I hope Goff pans out and continues doing well. This league is so QB-driven, it needs good quarterbacks.

Wait what? He was drafted #1, six spots ahead of us. lol

Having watched all his Cal games I'm pretty sure he's going to have a stinker game sometime this season, maybe a couple vs teams with very good pass rushers. That will bring all the "bust" people back out of the woodwork.

He gets flustered after being sacked a few times, like most QB's. That's what separates great QB's from good QB's. If Goff is to become one of the greats down the line (maybe 2018/2019) he'll have to learn how to deal with hardcore pressure. We couldn't get pressure on him yesterday. Same with the Colts.

With his current skillset I think he's on his way to being a good NFL QB. He might end up one of the great passers, the potential is there, but it's still too early to tell. We'll have a better idea of his progress after the season is over. Probably not till the end of the 2018 season.


By the way, Rams fans have been reading and posting 49erswebzone posts on their site. So, hello Rams fans. I don't think you guys would've won if our defense was healthy and that PI call at the end of the game was full blown mental. Give us another draft and we'll go back to kicking you around, Goff or no Goff. Welcome back to NFL caliber play! Must feel good after sucking for so long.

Ya, there's going to be an issue when Brady, Brees, Manning, Rivers,Roethlisberger etc retire. The NFL needs young QB's to step up. The rushing QB's of 2012 failed. Goff, Wentz, Winston, Mariota etc have to become the next generation of great passers.

Hopefully we get ours next year. Rosen or Darnold. Yesterday's game helped us on that path. We NEED a good draft spot this year if we're going to get our QB in the draft. I REALLY want Rosen. No homo.

Ya, my post from the gameday thread made their list, where I said we have some of the stupidest fans. (Of course they didn't include my reasoning) This was after pages of whining, people saying Shanahan sucks, that we hired the wrong HC/GM etc. I'd ban most of those posters if I owned this site. They're probably Rams fans. That game day thread yesterday literally made me question some of our fans sanity.

I don't think I'll even read another gameday thread on this site. It made me angry.

man he was alright. a healthy Watkins also helps. I sawr alot of mistakes as well.

I keep forgetting he is from Novato doe. that's crazy. Nice people there.

btw the best chimichanga I've ever had TOO THIS DAYYYY was in San Rafael. To sum it up , it was a burrito the size of a baby pig.

Technically St Louis traded for it which means we could of too. Hefty price tag though for a qb and he's got to do a lot more before it's justified.
