Why do I continue to call him a bust? Because the best he'll ever be is "a guy", not "the guy". Relative to his draft spot -- that nowhere near lives up to what is required of that slot. He's just a guy. Not a single team in the NFL cares that they're playing Jared Goff the next week. Not one. They care about playing Todd Gurley and Sean McVay.
Everything has to be right for him to make his high quality throws. He doesn't have the feet to dominate. Sean McVay has babysat him all year (he literally tells him what to do at the line until the headset is cut).
Again -- nobody cares about facing Jared Goff. He's just another QB. And for that reason he does not live up to his draft selection. He's a great 2nd round value. A poor #1 overall value.
Gonna come down to if they win any titles or not. A lot of what u posted could fit troy aikman like a glove. But nobody considers that former 1st pick a bust.
I don't agree. Aikman made other players better. Jared Goff needs lots of help to do well. Sure -- could he develop that ability? I guess. But you can say that about any young QB. Jared Goff isn't a difference maker at this point. Just another QB in the league.
Aikman played with statistically the best rb of all time and one of the most dominant olines of all time. For u to completely ignore that and just say he made other players better is laughable. His career high in tds was 23. 165 tds and 141 picks with all that talent.
