Goff sucks under the least bit of pressure.

I believe it. Mcvay knew it. You could see it on his face in that stare at the end of the game. He had nothing to work with against that D. 8 punts in a row. Jimmy G would have broken that D down on his own, out of the pocket with that arm.....Goff makes some good throws here and there but not a dynamic playmaker and can't see and manipulate the field/pocket for nothing. The Rams have a ferocious D line but damn, Mcvay has a problem on his hands. Do you stay with Goff and pay him 200m when his contract is up or go somewhere else. Dude needs second play called in after Mcvay sees initial D alignment before that 15 second mark. 3 years in, that's what he's got.Brady played like s**t and Goff couldn't even match that.

Perfectly said. My sentiments exactly

Goff was bad, but so was Brady. The 2 things that killed the rams was the horrible field position after each kickoff, and the QB sacks on 3rd and x when you are in field goal range. Everyone knows pressure is coming, so why does this constantly happen?

The Rams defense balled the f**k out for 3 1/2 quarters. They were absolutely amazing.

He was a poor prospect as well. People made so many excuses for his inability to play in big time games. Always somebody else's fault.
Yea, if you put the game in his hands, he's not going to make a play.

You eliminate the Rams run game, and force the pass. you'll be good.

We got the game plan for next season. Just need the defense to cover and stuff the run.

That Rams defense was the main reason they were in this game, while Goff being potato was the main reason they weren't going to win this game. Because of that, Brady was able to hang around long enough just to make enough plays to seal the game.

Talk about lucking out on matchups. Game planning for Goff was probably the easiest thing Belicheck has ever had to do before a SB. Shut down the running game and mix up coverages and blitz packages on obvious passing situations. Sit back, and watch Goff implode. Too freakin easy!

Sounds like what you guys always say about Alex Smith.

I'm going to guess the last QB drafted from Cal had part to do with that #1 pick (from a hype based perspective).
I noticed several times, the closest defender on the Pats gave Goff about 2 seconds out of the pocket and then just zero in on hitting him without worrying about coverage whether Goff connect on the throw or not.

Goff ended up in the pocket, playing like he's cornered.

The Rams did the same thing to the Pats. Romo kept saying how the Pats were having to drop back and pass too often since they couldn't run either. In the end Brady made a couple of good plays at the end and Goff threw an INT on a critical drive. Plus the Rams couldn't seem to stop Edelman. Game over.
Dang lol.

lol Sad. I'm sorry but I have to mention Kaep. He does the same s**t. Waited too long to throw the ball. Often late, and the receiver has to adjust way out of where they should get the ball. Pisses me off, but people here, 'you're just hate'n'

Would have changed that whole game.

I wouldn´t be too hard on him based on his superbowl game against the dark lord of the NFL defense.
Brady had not a great day either against Wade Phillips.
But honestly, Goff has been really average in his 4 Playoffs games.
You always have this impression that against good defenses, if the Rams´s Run game is stopped, Goff is lost.
And one day, the Rams will have this question about giving a 150 millions contract to him.
Say what you want about Garoppolo´s knee or his long passes but the guy showed last year that he could carry a team on his back.
When Goff is out of his zone of comfort, he struggles mightly.
But he is only 24 years old. He has a lot of football in front of him.
Brady played like crap. Patriots defense dominated. Say what you want about Goff BUT he put the ball on the money to Cooks who dropped the game tying touchdown. Goff made the play put the ball on the money and Cooks whose only job is to catch the ball dropped the ball and failed to do what he is paid to do.
