Flat out amazed me that he'd never called a play in the huddle before going pro. Ironically that basically meant the best fit was probably with Chip Kelly.

Why not? If Baalke drafted Goff the keyboard warriors would be out in full force demanding to know what he isn't starting. The fact that the Rams have him sitting behind Case Keenum(!) says a lot about where Goff is in terms of development.

I really think so also. I would love to see what he could've done in chips system.

Unless he is really that bad?! I have been wondering that also. He could have the worse Rookie season in my opinion and it couldn't be worse than their starting QB right now.

Well, goff has a bad body. But, brady had a bad body.
Mastering ram offense is a huge jump from mastering cal offense.
One thing goff has that is needed for success is accuracy.
He would do well to become a weight room regular and be a true body builder.
Dont follow scrawny sam bradfords example.
If all goes well, goff could become chad pennington.
Nobody has delayed playing Bradford or any other quarterback because of lack of muscle development.

Well it's a good thing Trent drafted a QB who wasn't good enough to make the team.

And now we find out:
Chris Mortensen @mortreport
Jared Goff will start Sunday for the @RamsNFL against @MiamiDolphins in front of a home crowd, per team sources. QBs were informed this am.

OH MY GOD THEY WERE GOING TO WAIT A YEAR TO START HIM! HE SUXS!
Lol at this thread. Good for Goff. The smart move is too start him now and let him get some reps for next year. It was also smart to sit him for a while, if not the whole year.

Should I start Miami defense in FF now that Goff is making his debut or am I overreacting to taking advantage of a rookie QB starting 1st game since he might be super careful with the ball?

I took Gurley in the 2nd round thinking I got a steal, haha.
That Rams OL is terrible. Goff's about to find out what Gurley's been telling him this whole time.
