I would like to add cry baby Fig Newton to this list.

The negatives on Sherm-

  • poor attitude in terms of sportsmanship/drama
  • Can only cover one side. He rarely switches to the other side of the field.
  • MEDIOCRE tackler.
  • Huge money contract.
  • past his prime

Id rather see him go to Dallas. The talking heads would go insane, Jerry would think he has a sb in the bag, their annoying fans would be walking on air.

Then they get crushed in the playoffs.

Cowboy tears are right up there with seahawk tears.
I'd rather see him rot in Seattle
He getting older, no thanks
Not at this point...he's not the player he was a few years ago. More & more QB's are going after him and a growing number are having success. We have a talented group of CB's...it's one of the few things Baalke did pretty well. With an improved front line, I'd expect our secondary to make considerably more plays. So, no thanks.
Trade em to the Browns
Time flies, this dude is almost 30 already. Probably a couple more good years and then he'll fall off a cliff like Revis.
Yes. We need that type of swag on our D imo.

Richard Sherman has NEVER been an "elite" CB.

He's always been a very good one who is assisted by getting away with pushing the limits of pass interference and defensive holding to the brink. Its how Pete Carroll coaches his DBs. He even said as much a few years back..."they (the refs) can't call everything..." were his words.

Sherman has also shown he is not beyond showing up his coaching staff on the sideline and in the media.

On top of the fact that he's an a*****e...albeit a very intelligent one.

No, thank you.

I'd rather be burned alive than see that fruitbooty on my team.

BTW...FTR and FWIW...

The only 3 elite players on that defense have been Bobby Wagner, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor. Michael Bennett has flirted with it...but not quite.

I know right?

The fact that Pete Carrol's scheme seems to only work when their CBs are holding every play. That's what makes me even more worried about hiring a guy like Robert Saleh.

I mean its just not going to work unless Saleh teaches our DBs to start holding.

He'll be almost 32 when his deal is up. Hard to see any contending team giving him a long term high guarantee deal. He'll cash in on a 2-year deal for some team looking for a quick boost in their secondary.
