Curious to see what the structure of this deal is? Hopefully we're able to get out of it cheaply after year 1, if he doesn't bounce back. Even if we get 80% of what Sherman was, this is a good deal, because Sherman will be a good mentor for Witherspoon, and if Sherman is guarding the opposing number 2 WR's then he might be fine. Now if Sherman comes back above 80%, then we got our number 1 DB for a couple years.

I honestly don't get people on this board... Sherman is a huge DB,and a player I hated 24 hours ago, but he is also a #1 CB who is not yet 30 years old. I'm unsure how giving Trumaine Johnson or Kyle Fuller 70m is a "better" decision than signing Sherman for close to half that amount.
It's funny how playing well against the Niners makes certain fans not want that player on the team-they would prefer Trumaine Johnson who let Brian Hoyer and the Niner put up 50 this season.
put it this way..if you had to bet your net worth on which corner would make the most Pro Bowl over the next three years, who would you put your money on Sherman, Johnson or Fulller?

GMniner805 - you're not going anywhere. You're going to stick it out and suck it up. It's just a short window of time in the grand scheme of things. Take a break, live your life, and we'll see you during the season when you've come to your senses.

Now he can really intercept russell wilson and throw the ball back at him and tell him sucks, it will be amazing.
SHERMANATOR! Lmaoo! I love this move. People lost their mind if they don't like the move. People are still bitter about thanksgiving? Don't be mad at Sherman be mad at our squad for playing like trash. Kap was always shook to go against the Seahawks. If Sherman was on our team playing receiver kap would have over 20 TDs. Quit cryin. He's only a 7th year player and now he's washed? Foh. Pull your skirts up. I hated Sherman like I hated Deion and Norton. But they came on our squad and helped us win. Perfect fit. Can't wait for the season so Sherman can punk on Russell and get sick on Crabtree again lol
Man if the free agency haul ends up being sherman and ARob...those are some risky medicals

Now do you have any links showing that Sherman hates Wilson?

Lol no. I'm just trying to stir the hatred towards Wussel pot.

Not a fan of the signing, I'll admit, but the Seahawk hate didn't have much to do with it.

Worried about how well he gets along with his teammates and coaches, and his health--both with the achilles and other...usage problems, let's say.

Hoping the money is mostly incentive based.

Also hoping he gets plenty of leeway to play the way he does while wearing the 9er uni.

This could be HYOOJ.

Sherman is a good teammate no issue on that and no off field problems. He just talk a lot of Sh!t. If someone you have to worry about it should be Foster he got the Aldon Smith Syndrome.
Best way to put it, hate the person Sherman is but love the football player he is, his fire that burns from inside is unbelievable, to sign with the niners he must want to stick it to Seattle real bad, he is the best fit for this defense he perfected and a great mentor for young guys, all the ppl saying they aren't niner fans anymore bc of this signing weren't really ride or die obviously, fact is this signing makes this team better..!!!!

This one hurts! I'm not sure I've ever ever ever ever ever hated anyone more than i hate this dude!

This seriously took all the luster out of the upcoming off-season.

Couldn't agree more I was really looking forward to the off-season but this pretty much ruins it for me.

I get where you guys are coming from. Hated him too.

But, he is a niner now. Let the past be past. If he plays great for us - that's all that really matters.

Even more of a reason why ARob won't be signed.

The only concern is the achilles and maybe age. Early in this thread i expressed concern about those. But we wont know until we see him play. So rejoice now. No need to complain or change teams after 27 yrs but still come back to troll
Oh s**t!
