If we go after Butler though where would he start? You gotta start Spoon and Sherman because they have the size for the outsides. Butler as the nickel? He may ask for Sherman money though and I doubt Lynch will go there. I know for sure at least in my mind, Johnson is definitely out of the picture.

all we have is Sherman and Spoon we need more cornerback depth

So, you're happy or sad that we signed him?

I'm going to guess sad. I used to despise the guy but if he plays well and helps us win all is forgiven.

In all honesty, we should of drafted his ass in the first place. Everyone thought he was a shoe in to SF. Sherman himself thought Harbaugh would draft him. He should still have a lot left.
Hope he performs

If Tart and Colbert can be another Chancellor.....we should see the same ole Sherman.

Colbert will be our Earl Thomas.

That's a good shout. I also think we could cut Ward and maybe draft Derwin James to play the Chancellor type role.

We have bigger holes than Safety to fill with #9 overall.

Yup. This may be it for the secondary. Still need outside corner depth, but 1-3 are locked down. Spoon-Dick Sherman-Williams. Williams is legit in the slot.

Interesting. Just $7M in base salary. $6M more in incentives. Sherman is betting on himself in a big way. $16M in base for 2019 & '20 becomes guaranteed if he's All-Pro. Another option would've been signing a 1-year & be a free agent again in 2019. Will watch this play out.
Sherm has a chip on his shoulder.

Makes me even more exciting about the signing.

We do but James might be a can't miss talent similar to Jalen Ramsey. Only other picks I could see are Nelson or Edmunds but I can see us possibly trading back.

Now hoping we trade back with buffalo since they'll be looking for a qb for sure
