I honestly think Sherman wanted to be here Vs other teams. He's a West coast guy born through and through. He wasn't going to the Rams, I'm not sure how much interest he had with Oakland due to Crabtree. When he was released I thought he would be a Niner or cardinal. I think it's fair to say he wants the Seahawks twice a year and he's so close to home. He had dinner and a physical and signed. I think he is with the team he wanted to be with due to our cap room, we are close to contending, play SEA 2 times a year and Location Location.

Imagine if Seattle had signed Kaepernick.

Id pay to see Kap in a Seahawks uniform throwing a pick to Sherman in a Niners uniform.

Correct, except you missed out that he wanted "a great QB" all comes back to the saviour!!!!

Like I said Location Location. He knew what what happening in the NFC West. Seattle in on a downward trend and Niners and moving up quickly. The Rams and Niners will be the powerhouses of the NFC West, one of which is in dire need for his position. Add that to being close to his family and college. Easy decision for him.

Throw in the fact that we're running the same system and it's a no brainer.

A couple of quick answers to clerical questions that have been asked about #49ers and Sherman:
1. Because Sherman was released, team does not have to wait until Wednesday to make his signing official.
2. Also, Sherman does not count against SF in 2019 compensatory formula.

Still in disbelief. Richard Sherman is a niner. Jimmy g Is our franchise qb and a damn good one. We have the best offensive coach in the game. Strange times considering where we were 2 years ago
