Devil is in the details. Let them think that. In a few weeks they'll be like "where did they get all that money after signing Garoppolo and Sherman?"
lol
There was a comment on a Rams forum that thought if he made a Pro Bowl this year it would trigger 16 mil guaranteed PER YEAR (32 mil guaranteed). Homey...learn to read.
I've been reading the forum all day to clarify. Pro Bowl or All Pro...is it officially All Pro...put me out of my misery..
Either way...it isn't 16 mil per. Its 16 TOTAL across '19 and '20.

Hopefully the guy can come back I like a veteran guy cornerback who knows what it takes to be successful that will be good for the locker room and other DBS especially. Look no way this guy is going to get 500 snaps next season. Just like Bo shouldn't have had as many snaps as he did did this season. You just can't come back from an Achilles in a year just can't do it so. So hopefully sherm helps out in the locker room and on the field here and there. That would be just great. This is a smart move by the Niners it's a smart move by Sherman best wishes to all
In terms of news/significance, this is a HUGE splash FA signing, IMO. Arguably our biggest since Deion Sanders.
I agree in terms of how it affects the team's cap space it's not quite as significant, but in terms of name recognition, news and noteworthiness, this is up there.

He's probably going to buy it from Ward.

well I'm not talking about any of that stuff. I'm talking about the reality not the hype and looking at at everything in terms of the reality I think it's perfectly good for both parties it's wonderful I'm optimistic

As far as Wards number, personally I only want Ward back if he's willing to sign for like 3 years and 12 million total, otherwise we should just let him go, and have that 8.5 million basically be what Sherman is making this year. Safety is covered by Colbert and Tartt, we just need to get Reid to come back for a team friendly deal 3 years 15 million total to battle Tartt for the starting SS spot. Who ever loses that battle, becomes the back up FS/SS, since both guys can play both positions. Ward to me is extremely expendable, especially at that huge cap number for him.
