Stay in your own lane cuz.

Who is Joe Thomas?

49ers GM in late '70s...made the horrible OJ trade, paved the way for Bill Walsh

Think Baalke x million

The 49ers traded what would become the 1st overall pick of the 1979 NFL draft for OJ Simpson.

In 1979, the 49ers needed a QB. Bill Walsh loved Phil Simms. If we still had that 1st overall pick, theres a very good chance we draft Simms.

If we draft Simms, we dont use our 3rd rounder on Joe Montana.

Thus, the OJ trade actually set up our entire dynasty.

I wonder how much it'll take for Jimmie Ward to come off of #25
I just heard on KNBR Richard Sherman says that Ward will give up #25. He didn't indicate whether or not if he paid for it.

He handed over some money but ward broke his hand accepting it
lol
After many hours of intensive sock puppet therapy I am now ready to accept Dick Sherman into the fold...

Only question I have is what is the prognosis for his ruptured Achilles, will he be fully recovered by Week 1?

Only Dick Sherman can answer that. Only he knows how his Achilles is feeling and how it's healing. Given the 49ers are trying to slow him down on getting to the practice field, I think he'll be fine. Maybe not 100% but I'll take 80% as long as we land Landry (and he turns out to be Aldon without the felonies) and a good WLB in the draft. Once Reuben (if he stays out of trouble - Keena Turner's baby sitting job is cut out for him) is free from his suspensions, a defense with a pass rusher, Reuben and Dick in the secondary will be (I think) a top defense - possibly even a super bowl quality defense.

The world of sports is weird. Sometimes a change of a number can change your fortune. Kobe is probably one of the more famous ones.

This is definitely my thoughts. Fact is, Sherman is the best DB on the roster at the moment. After him it's Tartt and a distant Ahkello Witherspoon(whom would be a second best DB at most on the top 15 defensive rosters in the league and would be a third stringer on 7.)

That's why I think Trumaine Johnson could still be in play. He would take pressure of off Witherspoon and start/add depth.
F***k Sherman
It's going to be a love-hate relationship.

It is difficult because I do agree that I hate how he carries himself on the field, but he also has literally never been anything but a good guy and solid soldier off the field. So I cant say I hate him as a man, but boy do I hate him as a player his attitude in winning and in losing is the kind of stuff you show your children when teaching them how not to behave in sports.
