Nah. He just plays the role. If we signed him and he and Spoon lock down both ends with Colbert able to have free reign. Man, I wouldn't give two f**ks if he helped us win a title.
I remember hating Ken Norton and Larry Allen until they played for us.
yeah and seems like he has really matured over the last couple of years. I talked to some seahawk fans who said he changed his tone once he became a father.

Despite this guy's history of douchebaggery playing against us, I would be intrigued if he somehow became an option for the 9ers. If the the FO is still trying to bring in veterans to work in tandem with the youth movement, I could see a lot of value in drafting another CB early and bringing Sherman in as that veteran presence. He's super intelligent, knows the scheme, and seems like he'd be a good locker room influence (nobody plays harder than this guy, he brings attitude to the backfield, protects his teammates, etc). At this point, he'd probably be cheaper than the other top CBs in FA.
His injury would be the big red flag imo.

His injury would be the only thing that would make him available IMO, helps that he'd probably accept a prove it deal.

Sherman and Talib at CB would be GOOOOLLDDD!! Let Spoon rotate in and learn from two Pro Bowl CBs for at least a year or two more. We don't want to make the same mistake we did betting the whole farm on R.Robinson. We all know what happened with that. Lesson learned...

Everyone said the exact same thing about Rashard this time last year.

sherman hasn't been much since the league banned adderall.
He does have the rare prototypical physical specs that you would look for in a dominant pass defensive DB;
very tall ,somewhat fast and has/had great awareness. Can't tackle but it's a passing league right now.

I'd much rather see Lynch sign Kyle Fuller, Malcolm Butler, Trumaine Johnson or Bashaud Breeland. They're seasoned vets but are young enough to play for Shanahan in their prime and provide some experience & leadership in our young defensive backfield.

Seattle won't cut him, but they might let him play out this year with no extension.

- some people on the field and in interviews that they are passionate about can rub people's skin the wrong way and we should all be open minded that face to face interacting can perhaps change your view of that person or see them in a natural, relaxed atmosphere.
I can relate. Case in point, "off the top of my head" …
I totally despise Northeastern Sport Teams, most notably, teams from NY and Boston.
Years ago when I was a Rook in the business, I interviewed Larry Bird after a Dubs game in Oakland.
Although I respected his game as a player, I couldn't stand his ass, because he played for the Celtics
The interview, lasted longer than I intended … as my intent, was just to fulfil my obligation to my editor in NY …
and nothing more ! Not only was he cooler than cool, but I started to relate to him on another level. I came away
from that interview feeling totally different about him. My actual Fan Hate, subsided as well.
There are also players I've held in High Regard … only to realise after an interview/conversation, that they were
Ass Wipes, of the highest order.

These sentiments, are how I felt about Neon Deion "Prime Time" Sanders, before and after he was a 49er.
On A Side note:
I use to work in La Jolla as well … 1200 Prospect Street.

Nice post my man! Pretty cool we were both able to have a similar type of moment. Just thought it would be a good thing to share our type of stories with the webzone... Perhaps open up some eyes, or get some people to be a lil more open minded, lead by example while having some class
Are you a Lakers fan too I'm guessing? Small world my dude! Glad to meet you, I'm Adam.
Go 9ers! We're coming out harder than Viagra next year baby!
