Agreed. The decision to throw that pass was terrible. We still had 2 timeouts left. There was no God damn reason for that play. We were on a hot streak too (8 game winning streak) and it ended when it shouldn't have. We could've had at least 2 Super bowls during the Harbaugh era.

James Jones made a good point on NFLN. The re-hashed stories Pete Carroll tells the team isn't really for the vets, its for the new guys.

Ahkello Witherspoon and the next rookie that the 49ers will draft in the mode of Sherman, really needs to study what has made Richard a HOF corner. Spoon made a couple of picks but he also gotten beaten badly on some plays to. One example is the one where Colbert knocked out the Rams WR in the last game of the year. Spoon get beat bad and lacked the recovery speed to overcome his mistake If Spoon wants to be like Richard he gets to see first hand how hard Sherman works physically and mentally to be the best. The best DB coach the 49ers have ever had is Richard Sherman and I'm pulling for him to return as close to form as he can.

His approach to the game is something I hope rubs off on the entire defense. To be good zone defenders they have to study hard. That and the attitude on gameday. He is instantly the vet leader of this young defense, and if he can just be average, but instill in this young defense all the intangibles to be a good defense, he's a good acquisition.

At WORST....believe Sherm will be above average. With that being said, all I gotta say is;

If this bum doesn't get well soon and isn't back in shape for the start of the season...it doesn't matter if the 49ers got a great contract, saved money and all that.

More importantly, we will still need a legit CB.

I would rather have a good football player who can anchor that secondary. as of now. he is questionable due to his injuries. our team is not the team they were five years ago and no offense to our wide outs or running backs. teams are not scared of our offense in my opinion. no offense to jimmy. our linebackers are still terrible. no pass rusher. we need help in the secondary. the o line is still a mess. yep. i know the draft. hope so. the team took baby steps in the free agency period but i think some are over valuing our team and undervaluing the rams and their moves
