Yup. He's just a place holder. Will likely draft a CB in the first 3 rounds and hope that guy can push for a starting role in 2019.

Seriously I'm just hoping we get one solid year out of Sherm.

i agree with guys. i just like this signing alot for many reasons and i just got a little to optimistic

. kind of odd to feel that way. but i think you guys are all right on this

He makes a ton of plays like this, and it's why I'm not overly concerned about his Achilles injury. His game was never predicated on speed and athleticism, so his play shouldn't drop off by much. And as many have stated, his effect on the rest of the defense in the film room will make all of them play better together.

If we're ahead and playing defense, I'd play him at safety in a dime package (Ward goes to corner). If Cassius and Attauchu and draft pick can bring the heat, I think his smarts and anticipation can get us some turnovers.
